字森庭，湖南洪江市人，著名花鸟画家。中国美协会员，怀化学院教授，湖南师范大学艺术学院、湖南科技大学艺术学院、中南大学、南京航天航空大学客座教授，湖南书画研究院特聘画家，湖南九歌书画院院长。
易老从事国画创作与研究八十多年，写意花鸟画笔墨厚重，质朴自然，情趣万千。近二十年的创作中，大胆尝试用丰富的色彩表现对象，成功的走出了自己独创的艺术道路，创造了浓墨重彩、浓墨淡彩、焦墨重彩、焦墨淡彩画风。
当代名家黄永玉、汤文选、李世南、刘勃舒、薛永年、周邵华诸位先生对易老的探索给予了高度评价。作品多次入选全国大展并选送到新加坡、美国、日本、等几十个国家和香港、澳门、台湾地区展出。易老多次在长沙、深圳、珠海、南京、郑州、北京等全国各大城市举办个人画展，无不引起轰动。2005年4月应邀参加由国家文化部、中国画研究院等单位主办的“国际华人诗书画印艺术大赛”，与湖南籍著名画家娄师白一起同获最高荣誉奖。所出版的著作有《易图境中国画选集》、《易图境写意花鸟》、《当代中国花鸟画坛10名家易图境作品》、《易图境传》、《当代美术史中国画卷》、《中国当代传世名画全集花鸟卷》、《中国当代美术名家》。作品被中国美术馆、中国画研究院等美术馆、博物馆、纪念馆收藏。

2001年 应深圳特区报画苑之邀，在深圳何香凝美术馆举办个人画展；
2002年 著作《易图境中国画选集》由湖南美术出版社出版；
2004年 应著名书法家曾来德之邀，在北京来德艺术中心举办作品观摩会暨研讨会；出席研讨会的有程大利、贾方舟、孙克、贾浩义、周韶华、孙志均、绍岩、程风子、王民德等；
2005年 应邀参加由文化部、中国画研究院等单位主办的“国际华人诗书画印艺术大赛”，与湖南籍著名画家娄师白一同获最高荣誉奖；
为纪念深圳市人民政府成立25周年，与中国画研究院院长龙瑞、副院长何首巫以及著名书画家姜宝林、王迎春、杨力舟、张立辰等一道赴深圳采风；
