丁观加，男。汉族，1937年11月出生。自幼擅长书画，师从傅抱石、吕斯百、陈之佛、杨建侯、亚明、程十发、祝嘉、罗尗子。其山水画风格熔铸南北，呈现出极为个性化的风格面貌。
丁观加爱游历，足迹遍及祖国各地，所到之处无不写生创作，推崇师造化、重传统、求变革的创作原则。擅长山水画创作，尤擅山水合一、水光天色的诗化描绘。在他笔下，山水相连的大气浑厚、渔歌唱晚的平静辽阔、江滩润泽的宁静质朴、星夜粼光的璀璨夺目，都得到了淋漓尽致的刻画和表现。
人物生平
1937年11月7日，丁观加出生于长江口崇明岛新民乡西丁宅。冠字辈，取名冠家。大学毕业后创作用名观加。
1951年在崇明赞化小学毕业。
1955年进南师美术系学习之前1957年春于南师美术系学习时崇明中学初中一年级至二年级。
1954—1955年父亲工作调至康复医院管理局（镇江），故转学到镇江第二中学读初三。在此初中毕业。班主任王祖德老师推荐报考南京师范学院美术系五年制美术专业并被录取。
1955—1960年在南京师范学院美术系学习。受业于傅抱石、陈之佛、吕斯百、黄显之、秦宣夫、杨建侯、亚明等教授。
1960年7月，于南京师范学院美术系毕业。分配为留高校工作。由南京艺术学院丁吉甫先生亲自选择到南艺任教，分配在南艺附中国画教研组。教国画白描课。曾随李直先生在南京博物院临摹明清肖像画。
1963年从事师范学校的美术教学，兼任班主任工作。
1965年4月调离江苏省常州师范学校，到镇江地区文教处报到，分配到“镇江地区阶级教育展览会”工作。
1977年代表镇江市文化系统参加市知青办公室下乡三个月调查下放的知青情况。
1980年创作《云岺——新四军司令部旧址》、《罗霄烟云》等一批作品。
1984年5月9日，参加在合肥市举办的“安徽省纪念渐江大师逝世320周年大会暨黄山画派学术讨论会”。
1990年10月15日，开始任镇江中国画院院长。
2003年12月29日，赴安徽省歙县谭度村拜谒黄宾虹先生故居。在留言薄上题：“山水巨匠，一代宗师。”
2006年11月8日，参加在南京博物院举办的《秦宣夫先生百年诞辰油画展》并参加座谈会。[2]
