籍贯：生于上海，江苏镇江人。
职务：中国美协会员、西部书画艺术院高级书画师
1970年知青，上山下乡到云南西双版纳建设兵团。1974年12月考入云南省文化局创作室创作班美术专业。1976年毕业后在云南省文化局美术摄影工作室工作，1984年美术工作室转变为云南画院，即为画院专业画家至今。
1999年辽宁出版社出版了《97中国画坛百杰画库·高金龙作品集》（中国美协）。
1999年黑龙江美术出版社出版了《云南纸马》。
1991年、1993年二次在德国沃普斯维德美术馆举办个人画展。
1991年同时获巴根黑夫基金会资助的德国创作一个月。
1995年应日本国际交流基金会邀请在日本民艺馆举办民间版画收藏展，并在日本横滨饭店画廊举办个人画展。
2002年在上海图书馆举办个人画展。
作品《平坝上的行列》入选第七届全国美展，《亚热带的烛光》入选第八届全国美展优秀作品展；还入选九届全国美展；
92年国画研究院人物邀请展，《亚热带之夜》入选首届全国中国画展；
《拴线礼》入选97中国画坛“百杰”展；
99水墨延伸人物肖像展；
