邹莉(笔名依耘),女。1950年1月生于广东龙门县。1965年--1970年当了知青。1966年开始创作的第一张作品。
现任中国美术家会员,广东美术家理事,佛山美术家常理,南海画院画家,情铸画院院长。
邹莉女士敢于正视自己,敢于表现自己,并能够找到适合自己的表达方式。她较多画的是古代的女人,是因为中国历代女性在"三从四德"的传统枷锁下,她们的遭遇更显凄美动人。作为女人,邹莉能更仔细、更深刻地观察、体味女人的外表和内心,更易感受女人的快乐与痛苦,于是,她选择了女性题材作为毕生的艺术追求。用了将近十年时间,在1997年初,她终于完成了一百幅工笔后妃图的创作。1998年至今,她都在进行《武则天》工笔长卷进行创作,如今已是易稿六次,仍在研究和摸索中。

1998年9月,《美术》杂志发表刘曦林的文章,题为:《邹莉的〈百妃图〉》。文章说:邹莉是上过山、下过乡,又出过国、见过世面的当代女性。她里里外外地悟过自身,悟过女性,终于有了一套自己的“女人经”。当西方世界因鄙薄女性而出现女权主义和相继出现男权主义回潮的时候,在中庸的中国虽然没有女权主义的强烈呼吁,邹莉也不是女权主义者,但她创办“情铸画院”和在工笔绘画上的成绩,不仅奉献了女性特有的劳动精神,也证实了巾帼不让须眉的能力和才华,就像许多人事的阴盛阳衰那样昭示着当代女性的自强。《百妃图》实际上是邹莉所悟到的“女人经”在历史上的图鉴,在造型上的表现。因此是否可以说,《百妃图》和深层创作动机源自女性意识的自觉,源自她对同类的爱和责任。于是,她为中国女性体态之美与心灵之美的完美谐和而动之以情,以造形的彩笔描绘她们如玉如花的天生丽质,也歌颂她们治国经世的才干、艺术上的贡献和美好的品德。她有感于中国女性对情与性的自由追求与自我压抑或者与幽禁冷宫遭际的巨大冲突,就像画唐玄宗梅妃中表现的那样,寄予“残妆和泪污红绡”的同情,甚至因汉高祖妃戚夫人沦为“人彘”的遭遇陷入悲剧的沉痛之中。邹莉说,她为中国女性内美和外美的相补,节制与诱惑、追求与压抑的冲突,为她们坚忍、宽容品格之博大,为东方女性特有的光芒而激动,“我能理解,我感同情,我要歌颂,我要批判,我想表现,我可刻画。”正是对中国女性的这种理解,这种研究,这种情怀,这种“从于心”的真诚,促成了《百妃图》,也塑造了女性画家邹莉。
2002年,女画家邹莉的102幅绢本工笔重彩仕女画《中国后妃百图》在广东画院展出。与一般美术作品不同的是,她的作品具有历史和人文的视角。问及邹莉的创作初衷,她坦言,女性形象是她作品的主题。在她看来,中国许多传统的女性形象体现了外在美与内在美的统一,她们对情的执着追求,对性的自觉压抑,对生活不屈不挠的态度,忍受着压迫仍进行抗争的精神,令人感动。作为现代女性,邹莉认为自己有责任通过完整、大量的挖掘,以自己的画笔把这个题材表现出来,借以反思女性在历史上的存在,唤醒女性在现世的自觉。
1992年,邹莉曾以白描的方式为历史上的后妃们绘制了黑白图集,在此基础上,历经数年的创作,她以工笔重彩的形式重新编绘,画成《中国后妃百图》。在中国历史上,系统地表现古代后妃的图画作品尚未见记载,可以说,邹莉是第一次对历史上的后妃们进行了整理。
后妃是中国封建社会的独特产物,为了能抓住最典型的特点表现人物的个性,邹莉在几年的时间里,翻阅了大量的历史读物,从中总结出人物的特点。比如在画末代皇后婉容时,她认为最能表现婉容的镜像是不幸的婚姻导致她感情的失落,她只能依靠鸦片来麻醉自己。邹莉用一个被鸦片麻醉的形象表现了末代皇后的悲剧人生,得到了专家的一致肯定。汉成帝妃班婕妤为摆脱迫害退出东宫,并写了《团扇歌》以抒发情怀。邹莉独出心裁地将班婕妤画在一柄团扇上,她执笔沉吟,若有所思,画面上还画出了数柄团扇和飘摇的落叶在秋风中盘旋,衬托出她坎坷的命运。类似这样动人的形象还有很多……虽然全部作品不能说是无懈可击,但作品中人物的每个眼眉、每个服饰,都能看得出邹莉对每个人物倾注的心力。
作为一个女画家,邹莉的《百妃图》也展现了女性画家独特的创作手法,她在继承传统技法的同时,大胆地运用了现代绘画的观念,借鉴了西洋画的手段,构图上打破时空间的局限,在同一画面上表现情节的发展过程;有的还借鉴电影中叠印的手法,使作品有鲜明的时代精神;人物表现上,采用了包括写实、抽象、浪漫等各种办法来表现人物的特性,用国画、水彩、水粉、油画等技法来使众多的画面丰富而不雷同;在色彩的运用上,她发挥了中国画色彩的装饰性和表现力,在每一幅图中都精心设计了不同的色调,都与不同人物的性格、身世、经历等“随类赋彩”,加强了艺术感染力。
