刘建宾，1960年4月生于合肥，1988?年毕业于南京师范大学美术系，1997年加入中国美术家协会（会员号码：6231）。现为温岭市美协副主席。
师承范保文、范扬、陈传席、徐培晨、林逸鹏等，并曾受到过著名人物画家、百元人民币设计者刘文西的指点和中国美术史论泰斗王伯敏的赞许。还曾应邀去中南海参加专题笔会。
