沈风涛1945年生，号浅斟斋主，祖籍湖南石门县，乙酉清河坠尘。师从赵翀先生习山水，问道刘继卣先生习人物、翎毛。中国美术家协会会员，甘肃省人民政府文史研究馆馆员，历任甘肃省美协理事，甘肃省美协国画艺委会委员，民盟甘肃省委委员。

自幼酷爱书画，先后受业于赵羽由、刘继卣。擅山水，注重写生，多以西北地区山川风貌入画，所作笔墨豪放，意境苍茫雄浑。作品多次入选省、市美术作品展览并在《朵云》、《甘肃画报》、香港《文汇报》等发表。1977年《征战万里人未老》(合作)入选“建军50周年全国美术作品展览”，1983年《秋山图》被选送日本展出，曾有作品多次参加在兰州市举办的国画联展。《祁连驼铃图》被收入甘肃《国画书法选》。现为甘肃省美术家协会会员，甘肃省书法家协会会员，甘肃省中国画学会理事，甘肃电视台美术编辑。
