张乃成，字艺舟，1949年出生于河北省唐山市丰润区，自幼酷爱书画艺术，拜我国著名书画家蒋雨浓（野叟）老先生为师，曾在70年代末受到王雪涛大师的亲自指点，擅长国画花鸟艺术。
现为中国美术家协会会员；国家一级美术师；中华当代书画艺术研究会名誉主席；中国民族书画艺术家协会副会长；香港世界名家书画苑中心理事；中国北方书画院院长。
张乃成以画虾著称，兼画花、鸟、鱼虫，其作品多次参加全国性展览并获奖。
2000年10月应邀赴韩国参加中国百名杰出书画家作品大展，《正气图》荣获金奖。
2001年2月16日在北京人民大会堂参加中国美术家选集首发仪式，《残荷艳》得到同行人的肯定，并受到国家领导人的亲切接见。
2001年4月所画《畅游图》荣获世界华人书画艺术“金鹰奖”、金奖，全球书画艺术“金象奖”金奖，并在2001年7月份举行的“庆祝建党八十周年全国书画大奖赛”上获得银奖。
2001年9月《群虾戏荷图》获中华当代书画艺术大赛金奖，并授予世界书画艺术《荣誉证书》。
2003年4月17日《群虾戏水图》荣获中国首届“民族杯金奖”。同年11月应邀去北京中南海、人民大会堂为国家领导人作画，受到国家领导人的高度赞誉。
2008年4月将一幅巨幅作品献给奥运会，并被奥组委永久性收藏，并授予收藏证书。
同年6月作品捐赠给四川地震受灾的同胞们，受到中国美术家协会的高度评价，并授发捐赠证书。
张乃成出生于河北省唐山农村的还乡河畔，自幼酷爱书画艺术是还乡河水孕育了他的成长，对河虾结下了不解之缘。捞虾、养虾、观虾、画虾是数年来的追求和爱好。为了画虾曾拜蒋雨浓等画家为师，经过多年的追求和千万次的磨练，终于让栩栩如生的群虾，千姿百态跃然纸上，近年来作品作为我国贵重礼品先后送往日本、美国、印度、新加坡、香港、台湾等国家和地区展览并收藏。
1995年4月《人民日报》以“画坛人中杰、京东第一虾”为题发其作品和业绩。同年6月18日其专题片曾在中央、河北、唐山电视台以京东画人为题相继播出，并在省市级报刊上多次发表。
2003年3月《中华时报》以“植根于泥土的画虾大师张乃成”为题发表了其作品和艺术生涯。
2004年8月《燕赵都市报》以“新一代的画虾大师张乃成”为题刊发了作品及其艺术成就。代表作《百虾图》曾受书画界权威人士的好评，被誉为“画坛人中杰，京东第一虾”。其作品收入《世界名人大辞典》、《中国美术家选集》、《中国当代书画领袖人物、大辞典》等典籍中。
