刘振新，号高卧居士，中国美术家协会会员，1956年生于江苏苏州。
1980年，毕业于南京艺术学院，国画专业。
2004年，在苏州美术馆举办《刘振新山水画作品展》
2005年，作品《烟山云树图》参加“长江颂”全国中国画提名展，获得优秀奖（中国美协）。
2007年，作品《山野秋歌》参加全国首届“草原情”中国画作品提名展，获得优秀奖（中国美协）。
2009年，作品《天高云淡》参加全国红星杯书画作品大赛，获最高奖（中国美协展览部）。
2010年，作品《好风如水》入选上海世博会中国美术作品展览（中国美协）。
