蒋义海，1940生于南京，1961年大学毕业。江苏省文联诗书画家。艺术职称：国家一级美术师（正教授）。中国美术家协会会员。现任南京名人艺术研究院院长、南京国际梅花书画院院长、江苏省作家协会书画联谊会副会长、中国梅花艺术馆名誉馆长。系韩国世界书画家协会副主席、海口中国作家研究会副主席、北京世界汉诗协会副会长、江南诗画院顾问。为江苏省书法家协会会员、江苏省文艺评论家协会会员、江苏省作家协会会员等。被海内外数十家书画院、协会、研究会等聘为名誉院长、主席、会长与高级艺术顾问。应邀在宜兴、南京、台湾、香港、泰国、菲律宾、日本、法国等地区、国家多次举办个人书画展与进行学术交流。2005年在南京举办书画展时，联合国秘书长安南、法国总统希拉克等发函祝贺。2004年率领中国书画家代表团出访菲律宾，受到升国旗、奏国歌仪式隆重欢迎。有《蒋义海中国画集》、《蒋义海梅画集》《画海》《中国历代画梅百家》《蒋义海咏梅诗三百首》《蒋义海选集》等近三十余本（部）画集、著作出版。国画涉足人物、花鸟、山水，尤擅作梅花、锺馗、达摩、高士、现代仕女等。人说：中国“画梅四大家”：广东关山月、山东于希宁已仙逝，现在北京王成喜、南京蒋义海仍在勤奋创作梅画。书法宗二王，学怀素，融板桥，自成一体。有“中华一枝梅”“扬州九怪”等之誉，权威人士曰：“蒋侯才气冠群贤”，“诗书画三绝”，为“书画留青史，艺坛一怪雄”；称其在中国当今书画界“是一位难得的人才”。艺术业绩载人《世界名人录》、《中国当代书画界领袖人物大辞典》、《中国美术家》、《国际现代书法集》等数十部经典中。作品青睐中外，包括博物馆、图书馆、档案馆、艺术机构、高等院校和外国元首、政要与友人等。其作品市场行情一直上扬，除国画与书法，在漫画，诗词，散文，评论，语法修辞，美术研究，民间文艺，编著出版等方面亦成绩斐然。
