字一帆，1959年生于甘肃天水甘谷县，幼时受家训，喜读书，更爱画画。16岁师从甘肃工艺美术大师何晓峰先生学画花鸟画，1986年毕业于河南大学美术系，毕业后下深圳、厦门创业。其后，师从甘肃文联副主席郭文涛研习西部山水画。后因崇拜西部歌王王洛宾和国画大师黄胄，1992年来疆。并加入王洛宾创办的“新疆文化艺术研究会”担任副会长至今。96年加入“新疆丝路书画院”后担任副院长，现任执行院长。同年加入“新疆美协”。2001年成立“中国美协新疆创作中心”任常务副主任至今。2006年推选为“新疆美术家协会”理事，同年批准为“中国美术家协会”会员。
在新疆师从“中国美术家协会”理事巩建新，“新疆美协”副主席郐振民研习新疆人物风情，并经受刘大为、尼玛泽仁、吴涛毅、狄少英等名家指导，画风见长，作品多次获奖。
2006年6月，响应文化部文化向西部倾斜的精神，“中国美术家协会”与“中国美术家协会新疆创作中心”联合成功的在天水举办了“2006年中国美术家协会全国创作中心会议”宣传西部、宣传新疆。
2007年5月随政府文化代表团出访美国，参加联合国“王洛宾文化艺术节”并带作品展出，其反映新疆风情王洛宾歌意的作品二十余副，受到欢迎和好评，部分作品被“中国驻纽约总领事馆”“国际文化艺术中心””世界日报社”收藏。
近年来参加了多次全国性大型创作活动，其绘画风格以新疆特色和新疆风情为主。
