宋继新，1965年出生于辽宁抚顺，毕业于教育学院艺术系。现为中国美术家协会会员，中国版画家协会会员。作品曾经参加8、9、10届全国美术展，11、12、13、14届全国版画展，北京国际美术双年特展/中国美术金彩奖作品展，1992-2005作品参加日本、韩国、印度、阿拉伯、泰国、加拿大、美国、巴拿马、巴西、阿根廷、智利、委内瑞拉、墨西哥、英国、挪威、斯洛伐克、德国、瑞典、南斯拉夫、意大利、西班牙、葡萄牙、奥地利、乌克兰、波兰、荷兰、芬兰、法国、保加利亚、比利时、克罗地亚、匈牙利、罗马尼亚、马其顿、黑山共和国、爱沙尼亚、阿塞拜疆、埃及等40个国家举办国际双年展，国际三年展200多次。先后在1995斯洛伐克BanskaBystrica国际版画三年展/班斯卡奖，1995加拿大Toronto国际美术展/提名奖，1996西班牙Orense国际版画双年展/评委奖，1996西班牙Barcelona国际小型版画展/最高奖，1996瑞典Stockholm国际小型版画展/提名奖，1999加拿大Trols-Rivires国际版画双年展/公众奖，1999日本Koyto国际版画展/特别奖，1999埃及Giza国际版画三年展/评委奖，2000罗马尼亚Cluj-Napoca国际小型版画展/三等奖，2002韩国Seoul国际版画双年展/选择奖，2003保加利亚Varna国际版画双年展/成就奖，2003阿塞拜疆Bookplate国际版画展/二等奖，2004罗马尼亚Timisoara国际小型版画沙龙展/艺术家奖，13次获国际奖；并在韩国汉城成均馆大学画廊、汉城自由画廊、汉城中央图书馆、西班牙巴塞罗那Taller画廊、加拿大Trols-Rivieres画廊、斯洛伐克BanskaBystrica美术馆、美国HiloHawail大学画廊举办8次个人展。1997邀请西班牙巴塞罗那国际版画展国际评委会员，作品被斯洛伐克BanskaBystrica国家美术馆、西班牙Orense文化厅、埃及国家文化部、罗马尼亚Cluj-Napoca国家博物馆、日本Koyto美术馆、意大利Biella美术馆、德国Frechen艺术联合会、西班牙Barcelona画廊、汉城自由画廊、波兰Majdanka国家美术馆、美国NewJersey博物馆、葡萄牙Evora国家美术馆、阿塞拜疆国家美术馆、日本Sapporo美术馆、波兰Craco美术馆、保加利亚Gabrovo博物馆、罗马尼亚美术家协会等16国家美术馆博物馆及画廊收藏。作品与简历以英、法、德、挪、西、葡等文发表在20多个国家出版画册中。
