笔名弓月，男，1941年3月生于河北张家口，汉族，祖籍天津。自幼酷爱书画，就读于张家口师范专科学校艺术科，后入河北美术学院学习。1963年毕业于河北艺术师院（今天津美术学院）。书法研习颜真卿、华世奎，以汉隶、楷书见长。先后在忻州地委宣传部任干事、地区报社任领导组副组长、地区文联副主席、行署文化局任局长、地委宣传部任副部长兼文联党组书记等，2001年到龄退休。现为山西书法家协会理事，山西美术家协会理事，山西工艺美术学会理事，中国书画函授大学忻州分校副校长，五台山书画院副院长。　　
曾出版速写画册《摭拾集》，并有国家邮政总局出版其带邮资的书画作品明信片一套(16张)；曾先后四次举办个人书画作品展览。1988年在太原举办个人书画作品展览，并被碑林选刻。亦擅绘画，国画、年画作品多次参展并获奖。1993年金秋应美国华人美术团。
