李昌中，笔名君岳，1928年生于贵州毕节县，1948年考入贵州省立艺术馆附设艺术专修班，1950年转入贵阳师范学院艺术科主攻国画，1953年毕业后在贵州省文联从事美术组织工作和国画创作，1980年调入贵州省国画院。早年师从孟兆涛，潜心研习唐寅、仇士洲诸家工笔山水，后又得宋吟可、王渔父等人笔墨。享有“东方第一藤”之称，创建“乌蒙画派”的“洪荒美学大师”
一级国画师，教授，中共党员，国务院颁发突出贡献专家奖；曾任贵州省国画院副院长；现担任宇宙摇篮工作委员会执行会长；1998年英国剑桥世界名人传记中心列为全球“500个第一”之一的世界名人!
《乌江》：获得贵州文学艺术国画创作一等奖，陈列在北京人民大会堂贵州厅。
《梵净穹苍》：李昌中目睹梵净山的一切景致——那善良的松鸡和小熊、那机伶的金丝猴都带着好奇和警觉的眼睛望着突然闯进它们生活的人类，那潺潺流淌的条条小溪，那飞泻而下穿乱石、飞巉岩、入深潭、叮咚欢乐奏着悠美旋律的山瀑，远望这溪水纵横交错，迂回曲折，时而急流穿涧，时而平水绕林，霞雾生紫烟，其状如画中游，可把人的心思牵入到珠江、乌江、长江，这幅画里如仙境啊！为创作《梵净穹苍》，每天在画室一呆就是十多个小时，经常是三顿饭都忘记吃了。1984年元旦，一幅8米长3米高的巨幅中国画《梵净穹苍》完成了，从登山到完成，共耗去了七个月的日日夜夜！
这是他创作中第一幅最大的中国画，那恢宏的气势，力透纸背的用笔，囊括了大自然的洪荒之美，令人有“近睹分明似俨然，远观自在若飞仙”的奇境，仿佛一座座巍峨的山魂在天庭呼唤人类善待自然。
《宇宙摇篮》：这幅巨型画，是一群金丝猴在薄雾萦绕的晨曦中，欢快地聚集在繁花怒放的古藤巨树之间的山水画。它展现了在原始森林中绽放出来的和谐、宁静、清新、绚丽的美好生存空间。
