王茂彬（1940.11—）河北景县人，1940年出生。现为中国美术家协会会员。享受国务院特殊津贴专家。曾为山西省山水画学会副会长、晋城市美术家协会主席。
他的作品曾参加第六、七、八、九届全国美展和出国展出，并多次获奖。历年来有三百余幅作品为国内外美术机构和收藏家所收藏。他的传记和代表作品分别收入《中国美术年鉴》等多部辞典。一九九九年《王茂彬山水画集》由山西人民出版社结集出版。一九九三年国务院批准享受终身政府特殊津贴。
获奖经历
1988年中国画《高原深处》获“全国中华杯中国画大奖赛”佳作奖；
1991年中国画《庄户人家》获“中国的四季美术展”铜牌奖，为日本收藏；
1992年中国画《静谧的故土》获加拿大“枫叶杯国际水墨画大赛”铜牌奖，为加拿大所收藏；
1994年中国画《高原晚秋》获“中国新时代巴黎铁塔杯书画大赛”桂冠奖；
1994年七幅中国画在日本参加“现代中国画秀作展”，全部作品为日本收藏；

1998年中国画《山中幽居》为中央电视台收藏；
1999年中国画《太行春融》入选第九届全国美展，获山西省建国五十周年美展一等奖；
