张力源，祖籍河北沧县人，１９６１年６月出生于新疆哈密，毕业于新疆师范大学，中国美协新疆分会会员，西安长安画院研修生、画师。其外祖父与国画大师张大千为挚交，且富收藏，其从小对国画艺术耳濡目染，酷爱至深，师从著名国画家何纪争、曹湘秦两位先生，并谨遵张大千先生、何海霞先生艺训，为弘扬中国民族艺术笔耕不辍。
１９９１年１０月在新疆哈密艺术馆举办个人美展，展出作品１０８幅，其成果被收入《中国群众艺术馆志》一书。１９９４年风景散文《大漠古树秋风艳》发表于新疆经济报文学专刊，并被全国性的刊物《散文选刊》入选。后相继发表散文《伊吾风光别有天》、《寂寞天山行》、《剪取西天一角红》、《怀念父亲》、《原野》、《万年雪卧天山千钧情寄大漠》颇获好评。１９９５年国画专辑发表于《新疆艺术》杂志。１９９８年山水作品《天山情》入选文化部群文司“群星奖”并被录入《中国当代美术家》ＣＤ光盘。多年来其风景散文大量见于报刊杂志，国画作品多次参加美展并获奖。２００３年，由中国长安书画家画库编辑出版了《张力源画集》。２００４年入选《中国书画百杰》并发行邮政明信片。２００５年《天山雪岭》、《天山雪松》、《天山秋艳》、《天山之春》四幅中国画入选“西部风韵”中国画名家邀请展，获优秀作品奖。
