 1955年10月生,湖北咸宁人。1977年毕业于湖北美术学院,1986年-1988年结业于湖北美术学院攻读硕士学位课程助教班。现为湖北省美术院院长、教授、硕士生导师。湖北省美术家协会副主席、中国画艺委会主任。中国美术家协会会员、湖北省国际文化交流中心理事、湖北省有突出贡献的中青年专家称号。

 董继宁,1955年10月生,湖北咸宁人。1977年毕业于湖北美术学院,1986年-1988年结业于湖北美术学院攻读硕士学位课程助教班。现为湖北省美术院院长、教授、硕士生导师。湖北省美术家协会副主席、中国画艺委会主任、中国美术家协会会员、湖北省国际文化交流中心理事、获湖北省有突出贡献的中青年专家称号。

1990年作品《长河落日圆》等荣获北京国际艺苑首届水墨画5年成就大奖,1993年作品《春醒》获澳大利亚,93雪梨亚太地区水墨画大赛亚军金奖,1994年作品《史诗中的三峡》参加第八届全国美展优秀作品展并载入《中国现代美术全集》1998年作品《悠悠黄土情》参加当代中国山水油画油画风景展并选为优秀作品,1992年湖北美术出版社出版《董继宁画集》。并载入《中国现代美术全集》。

作品被中国美术馆、中国历史博物馆、毛主席纪念堂、中国画研究院、中南海勤政殿等收藏。入选《世纪之光中国画提名展》、《百年中国画展》。曾在北京、深圳、武汉、香港、台湾、美国举办个人画展。已出版个人画集共4部。

人物荣誉

 董继宁长期从事中国山水画的创作、研究和教学,于中国山水画的继承与创新多有创获,并形成了自己的艺术风格和教学体系。作品为人民大会堂、中南海勤政殿、毛主席纪念堂、中国国家博物馆、中国美术馆、中国国家画院等地收藏。作品曾获1990年首届北京艺苑美术奖、澳大利亚“93雪梨”亚太地区水墨画大赛金奖、“自然与人·第二届当代中国山水油画风景展”艺术奖、第八届全国美展优秀作品奖并载入《中国现代美术全集》、入选“百年中国画展”。作品千余件发表于《人民日报》、《中国日报》、《美术》、《美术研究》、《国画家》、《欧洲时报》等百余家报章杂志。曾先后在北京、广州、深圳、武汉、香港、台湾、美国等地举办个人作品展览。曾出版《董继宁画集》、《董继宁中国画作品精选》、《魂系山情·董继宁画集》、《中国画二十家·董继宁》、《继宁山水》、《继宁速写》、《当代实力派画家董继宁作品专集》、《中国美术家全集(第2辑)董继宁作品集》、《中国书画名家精品系列·董继宁作品精选集》及文集《灯下独语》等。

董继宁的山水画创作,在植根传统的同时,注重写生。中国山水画的诗意化追求溶入他对大山大水、真山真水的精神关怀,呈现出一种独特的表述方式。即:笔墨的挥洒写意、构图的诗境营造、色彩的随情渲染。作品以写意的笔墨,表达对中国传统文化精神的崇敬和对自然蓬勃生命的感念,以诗意化的构图及充满激情的色彩,表述着对民族精神的颂扬和对天地生命的礼赞。

作品序言

 余事美术教育有年,虽不敢言满园桃李,门下确不乏才俊。近退老悠游,旧日门生,时来请安问道。诸君尊老,“请安”尚差敢当也,“问道”则实无可传者。

春秋荏苒,从游诸君,年逾耳顺、从心,乃臻八秩者众矣。岁幼如继宁者,年已知命矣。忆其少时自鄂南山乡负籍来学,朴素可爱。教室里自据一隅,埋头苦学;球场上奔突在前,生龙活虎;时获褒扬,嫣然而退;每遭呵斥,憨笑喏然。

继宁卒业后,留校任教。虽为人师,亦时来问业。余每以圣贤之“有教无类”,“诲人不倦”勉之。或因其父母亦皆事教育故,继宁深知为师之道,贵在以身作则。即昔在湖北美术学院教务处长、系主任、研究生部主任任上,今又长湖北省美术院,亦无一日懈怠学问。其勤勉好学,余每举为后来诸生之楷模。

继宁初习油画,于西洋画理之写生、色彩,颇有神会。后习国画,初摹工笔人物、花鸟,终因性情所系,专攻山水。虽曾浸淫于宋、元,仍不废写生。遍走南北,积画稿逾百千。真得石涛之所谓“搜尽奇峰”者。其色彩之运用,不囿于陈法,悟冷暖明晦之理,复与宋、元诸家之墨法、笔法汇融贯通,时出新意。兴酣浓烈时,有堆金错彩之妙;意远淡雅处,得铅华洗蜕之境。巨幛大幅,气度恢宏;卷册小品,意趣清远。

继宁春秋正盛,加之勤勉努力,前路未可限量。年来更时有佳作示我,真老来一大乐事也!为人师者,能育成一二俊才,真此身一大幸事也!

今岁,继宁拟晋京展示作品,并将新作结集出版。小子不弃我老来神滞,属为序之,欣缀数言,聊作喤引耳。

Introduction in English

 Dong Jining was born in October 1955 in Xianning, Hubei Province. He graduated from Hubei Academy of Fine Arts in 1977, and graduated from Hubei Academy of Fine Arts from 1986 to 1988 to study for the assistant course of master's degree. Now he is the dean, professor and master's supervisor of Hubei Academy of Fine Arts. Vice Chairman of Hubei Artists Association, Director of Chinese Painting Arts Committee, Member of China Artists Association, Director of Hubei International Cultural Exchange Center, and Young and Middle-aged Experts with outstanding contributions from Hubei Province.

 

In 1990, he won the first five-year achievement award of Beijing International Art Academy for ink painting, in 1993, he won the gold medal of Australia, 93 Sydney Asia-Pacific Ink Painting Contest, and in 1994, he participated in the Eighth National Art Exhibition for Excellent Works and was included in Modern Chinese Art. Complete Works of 1998, The Loess Loess, participated in the Contemporary Chinese Landscape Oil Painting Landscape Exhibition and was selected as an excellent work. In 1992, Hubei Fine Arts Publishing House published Dong Jining's Painting Collection. It is also included in the Complete Works of Modern Chinese Art.

 

His works have been collected by the Chinese Art Museum, the Museum of Chinese History, Chairman Mao Memorial Hall, the Academy of Chinese Painting and the Qinzheng Hall of Zhongnanhai. He was selected in the "Century Light Chinese Painting Nominated Exhibition" and "Centennial Chinese Painting Exhibition". He has held personal art exhibitions in Beijing, Shenzhen, Wuhan, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the United States. Four collections of personal paintings have been published. Dong Jining has been engaged in the creation, research and teaching of Chinese landscape painting for a long time. He has made great achievements in the inheritance and innovation of Chinese landscape painting, and formed his own artistic style and teaching system. His works are collected in the Great Hall of the People, the Qinzheng Hall of the Zhongnanhai Sea, the Memorial Hall of Chairman Mao, the National Museum of China, the Chinese Art Museum and the National Academy of Painting. His works were awarded the first Beijing Art Court Art Award in 1990, the gold medal of the Asian-Pacific Water and Ink Painting Competition in Sydney 93, the second Contemporary Chinese Landscape and Oil Painting Landscape Exhibition of Nature and Man, and the excellent works award of the eighth National Art Exhibition, which were also included in the Complete Works of Modern Chinese Art and selected in the Centennial Chinese Painting Exhibition. More than 1000 works were published in People's Daily, China Daily, Fine Arts, Fine Arts Research, Chinese Painters, European Times and other newspapers and magazines. He has held exhibitions of personal works in Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Wuhan, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the United States. He has published Dong Jining's Painting Collection, Dong Jining's Selected Chinese Painting Works, Soul Mountain Feelings Dong Jining's Painting Collection, Twenty Chinese Painters Dong Jining, Jining Landscape, Jining Sketch, Contemporary Powerful Painter Dong Jining's Works Collection, Complete Works of Chinese Artists (Volume 2), Dong Jining's Works Collection, etc. "Selected Works of Dong Jining, a Series of Excellent Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Artists" and "Monologues under the Lamp" etc.

 

Dong Jining's landscape painting is rooted in tradition and pays attention to sketching. The poetic pursuit of Chinese landscape painting melts into his spiritual concern for mountains and rivers, and presents a unique way of expression. Namely: the freehand brush and ink, the creation of the composition of the poetry, the casual rendering of color. With freehand brush and ink, the work expresses the respect for the spirit of Chinese traditional culture and the feeling for the vigorous life of nature, and expresses the praise of national spirit and the praise of the life of heaven and earth with poetic composition and passionate color.
