李劲堃,男,广东南海人,1958年生于广州。1987年毕业于广州美术学院中国画系山水专业研究生班,获硕士学位。毕业后任教于广州美术学院国画系,任系副主任、副教授。现为中国美术家协会会员,广东省文联第八届兼职主席,广东美协理事,广东画院专业画家,广州美术学院院长硕士研究生导师、广东省美术家协会主席、岭南画派纪念馆馆长,广东画院院长 ,广州美术学院院长,第九届中国美术家协会副主席。
1979年,考入新成立的肇庆师专美术系。
1984年,进入广州美院国画系读书,师从陈金章教授、梁世雄教授专攻唐宋山水研究。
1986年广州美术学院国画系山水专业研究生毕业。
2002年调至广东画院。
2016年11月,当选广东省美术家协会主席。
2017年7月被任命为广州美术学院院长。
2018年8月任广东画院院长。
2018年9月,广州美术学院院长。
中国美术家协会会员,广东美协理事,广东画院专业画家,广州美术学院中国画系硕士研究生导师。
2018年12月24日,中国美术家协会副主席。
主要作品《大漠之暮》获第七届全国美展铜奖,2002年入选广东当代名家十人展。作品清新,技法严谨,蒙胧中透露出耐人寻味的境界。

李劲堃近两年来一直很忙,2012年5月“百年雄才”成功在广州美术学院举办后,“黎家山水”将于今年金秋亮相中国美术馆。为了筹备这次展览,李劲堃正在做一个全面梳理黎雄才先生艺术历程的课题。“一个人能将一件事做到极致是一种缘分、一种福气”,在李劲堃眼里,黎雄才的艺术堪称典范与楷模,他也在繁杂的梳理工作中,收获着更切实的感动、更深刻的思索。
Li Jinkun, male, from Nanhai, Guangdong Province, was born in Guangzhou in 1958. In 1987, he graduated from the Graduate School of Landscape Sciences, Department of Chinese Painting, Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, with a master's degree. In 1991, Cangshan Ruhai Cangyang Ruxue was awarded the bronze prize of the Guangdong Art Exhibition celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.
In 1994, "Frost, Dawn and Fog" won the award of Excellent Works in China Art Exposition 94
In 1994, "Fantasy" and "Light Flowers and Rains" were selected into the eighth National Art Exhibition, in which "Fantasy" won the first prize in the Academy Exhibition.
"Liangxiao" was selected in the 9th National Art Exhibition in 1999
In 2002, ten outstanding works of Guangdong contemporary famous artists were selected for the exhibition of Chinese contemporary Chinese painting series. They went to Beijing for exhibition.
The 2006 work "Dusk of the Desert" was jointly awarded the 50-year classic works nominated by the Guangdong Association of Fine Arts by the Propaganda Department of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee, the Guangdong Provincial Literary Federation and the Guangdong Artists Association.
His works include Pulse, Dusk of the Desert, Moon Gushing, Cangshan, Sea and Blood of the Remaining Sun. His papers include Trial Use of Traditional Brush and Ink Techniques to Express New Creative Ideas.
Li Jinkun has been very busy for nearly two years. After the successful hosting of "Centennial Talents" in Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in May 2012, "Lijia Landscape" will appear in the Chinese Art Museum in the golden autumn of this year. In order to prepare for this exhibition, Li Jinkun is doing a comprehensive study of Mr. Li Xiongcai's artistic history. "It is a kind of fate, a kind of luck that a person can achieve the ultimate goal of a thing." In Li Jinkuan's eyes, Li Xiongcai's art can be regarded as a model and model.
