教授，笔名欧阳恒山，一九五五年三月生，湖南郴州人。1974年高中毕业下乡接受再教育，1977年考入新疆师范大学美术学院，1980年留校任教，1982年在西南师范大学美术学院进修，后在西南师范大学美术系任教，2000年南京艺术学院研究生班毕业。现为中国美术家协会理事、新疆美术家协会主席、新疆美术教育专业委员会理事长、新疆师范大学美术学院院长。美术作品多次参加全国及国家有关部门和地区的各类展，并有多篇论文发表于国家专业刊物，其艺术成就多家媒体曾给予报道。近年新作多次赴欧洲、日本、台湾等地展出，多幅作品被各级美术馆、博物馆收藏。作品《瀚海秋色》入选第八届全国美展等。出版有《速写研究》。

近年来应邀赴法国、德国、意大利、西班牙、奥地利以及印度、日本、越南等国讲学、办展。多幅作品被国内外美术馆、博物馆收藏。曾出版《速写研究》、《邓维东印象.西部山水写生集》、《中国画名家邓维东》等多种画册。作品《瀚海秋色》入选第八届全国美展。
