邹宗绪，1933年生。又名阿工。河南开封人。擅绘画。陕西人民美术出版社。幼受庭训，随祖父少和先生临池习画，矢志艺术。1951年开封艺校毕业后留校读研究生。1955年中央美术学院绘画系毕业。历任陕西人民美术出版社编辑、编辑部主任、副总编、编审。陕西省美协副主席。作品《喜报丰年》获全国年画三等奖。曾获全国优秀图书金奖、银奖、铜奖等。出版有《中国历代雕塑·秦俑群》、《千年古都西安》、《洛川民间美术》等。为国家有突出贡献专家，受领政府特殊津贴。

2010年10月29日上午9时40分在西安交通大学附属二院不幸逝世，享年78岁。

 中国美术家协会理事、陕西省美术家协会副主席、陕西省书法家协会理事、陕西省政协常委、陕西人民美术出版社特约编审、陕西国画院特聘画师、西安美术学院研究院研究员、陕西省文史馆馆员、三秦文化研究会副会长、陕西省国际友谊促进会副理事长等职。

 邹宗绪同志工作五十年来，成绩斐然，出版了大量年画、宣传画 及大中小型画册，其中《大办农业五谷丰登》入选中国现代美术作品 展，被《人民画报》作为封面;装帧设计的《中国黄土》获1980年全 国书籍装帧艺术优秀作品奖。他主编的《千年古都西安》画册获香港 最佳书籍奖和中国优秀美术图书铜奖及1990年第二届美术读物黄河金 牛奖二等奖;由他编辑出版的于右任先生的《千字文》、《正气歌》、 《楹联一、二辑》开创了解放后大陆出版髯翁书法的先河。

邹宗绪同志对篆刻和书法也有一定的研究，曾与篆刻界友人发起创建终南印社，并编辑出版《长安胜迹印谱》、《丝路》、《心碑》、 《十二古琴人家》长安印丛系列图书。他曾于1986年应邀访问日本， 进行书法艺术交流，2008年曾作为特邀代表参加2008奥林匹克美术大 会，作品《山丹丹开花红艳艳》荣登2008奥林匹克艺术殿堂。
