女画家王玉珏现任广东画院院长；广东省美术家协会副主席。1955年至1964年的九年时间。王玉珏攻读于中南美专附中及广州美术学院中国画系。勤奋与深思，使她获得坚实的绘画基本功并已显示了卓越的创造才能。学生时代所作的《山村医生》（1963）及《农场新兵》（1964）即引起全国瞩目和多方赞誉。尤其是《山村医生》在日本、美国、印度等地展出，特别受到国外观众的重视。他们看到了传统的中国人物画获得了全新的面貌。

学习过程中，王玉珏不仅借鉴了海派、岭南派以及张大千、徐悲鸿等名家的经验，尤其对敦煌、永乐宫以及唐宋人物画的伟大传统进行了深入的探究。明清以来，青年画家在继承传统的同时，汲取了西洋及东洋艺术的某些因素，使这一绘画样式日渐繁荣且显出新的面貌。而王玉珏实为先行者之一。

 作为艺术家，王玉珏从未置身于历史的潮流之外。她热爱祖国乡野间的花草树木，熟知普通人民的欢乐和艰辛。虽然她从未由于赶潮流画过场面热闹的所谓宏篇钜制，从未表述过经世济国的“豪言壮语”，但她的作品却能使人明显地感受到民族的特色、历史的演变和时代的气息。

七十年代以前，她的作品常于平凡质朴的形象中蕴含有道德的意义，（《山村医生》中的敬业精神，《农场新兵》中的献身建设）。运用的线条富于转折顿挫的粗细变化，（所谓“莼菜条”的笔意）。色彩倾向于浅淡。八十年代开始，王玉珏的创作进入一个新的阶段；她更看重“美”给予人们精神上的愉悦和陶冶，使“爱”与“美”相融合，产生更为普遍的道德方面的潜移默化的作用。她喜欢的题材是少女与鲜花，丰盈的果实和健硕的婴儿。她画中的人物有时如迎着扑面而来的春风一样，迎接着新的生活，（《卖花姑娘》）。与此同时，画家对于艺术的形式美和艺术技巧，进行了更为精深的探讨，从而把工笔重彩的人物画推向一个新的高度。

王玉珏虽然具备本文素描的写实基础，但她并不采用明暗阴影的皴擦以造成“逼真”的立体感。她完全借助于线、色的变化和微妙的渲染，以取得人物的传神和适度的空间效果。因而保持了东方艺术的“假定性”和装饰性。以及典雅、纯净的神韵。　在用线方面，她有很深的功力；不仅达到了古人所谓“笔迹周密”“紧劲联绵”“神完气足”的境地，而且依据不同的意境情趣，创造出多姿多彩的线条风格。或婉转飞舞（《淡淡的小花》）或坚直轻灵（《绿色的苹果》）或墨线、色线、色勒与没骨穿插并用（《卖花姑娘》）。

王玉珏的工笔重彩充分发挥了色彩的表现力和感染力。她借鉴了西文绘画中优良的色彩技巧，依据情感和境界的需要，使每幅画具有不同的“主调”。《美花》和《苗族姑娘》都是以绿色为主调，但前者偏暖，后者偏冷，因而产生了活跃与幽静的不同意趣。《卖花姑娘》中的淡紫的主调中置以响亮黄色的小块和天蓝，构成一片活泼而又温暖的情调。表现出画家精深的艺术技巧。

王玉珏的画风，秀雅而不轻浮，严谨而不板滞，清新优美中含有一种纯朴亲切的情致。不但表现了她的造诣和修养，也显示了她的艺术的独特的性格。除去了笔人物花卉之外，王玉珏也擅作大写的遗风，却充满现代艺术的新鲜意境，表现出她特有的开朗、乐观纯厚的感情。她的作品不少均为国内美术馆收藏，并多次到国外展出获得赞誉。

 作品《演出之前》、《山村医生》被中国美术馆收藏，《学雷锋小组》入选全国美展，《烈焰燎原》入选庆祝建军50周年全国美展，《祖国》入选中国画研究院首届中国画展并被收藏，《果果》入选全国美展，《卖花姑娘》获第六届全国美展银奖，《冉冉》获第七届全国美展银奖。出版有作品专辑和新作系列画册。

所作《卖花姑娘》（1984）和《冉冉》（1987），在第六第七届全国美展中连续获得银奖；《淡淡的小花》（1985）在“阿尔及尔——世界文化荟萃”活动中获造型艺术集体特别奖（金牌奖）。

 Profile

Wang Yujuan, a female painter, is currently the president of Guangdong Academy of Painting and vice president of Guangdong Artists Association. Nine years from 1955 to 1964. Wang Yujuan studied in the Chinese Painting Department of Central and South American Secondary School and Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. Diligence and deep thinking have helped her acquire solid basic skills in painting and have shown her outstanding creative ability. The "Mountain Doctor" (1963) and "Farm Recruiter" (1964), which were made in the school days, aroused national attention and praise. Especially "Doctor Yamamura" is on display in Japan, the United States, India and other places, especially by the external public attention. They saw that the traditional Chinese figure painting had acquired a new look.

In the process of learning, Wang Yujuan not only drew on the experience of Shanghai School, Lingnan School, Zhang Daqian and Xu Beihong, but also explored the great traditions of Dunhuang, Yongle Palace and figure painting in Tang and Song Dynasties. Since the Ming and Qing Dynasties, while inheriting the tradition, young painters have absorbed some elements of Western and Eastern art, making this painting style increasingly prosperous and showing a new look. Wang Yujuan was one of the pioneers.

Painting style

As an artist, Wang Yujuan has never been out of the trend of history. She loves the flowers and trees in the countryside of her motherland and knows well the joys and hardships of ordinary people. Although she has never painted so-called magnificent scenes and expressed "heroic words" to help the country, her works can make people clearly feel the national characteristics, the evolution of history and the atmosphere of the times.

Before the 1970s, her works often contained moral meanings in ordinary and simple images ("the spirit of dedication in Doctor of the Mountain Village" and "the dedication construction in recruits on the farm"). The lines used are rich in turning points and setbacks of the rough and thin changes, (so-called "Yingcai strips" of the meaning of the pen). The color tends to be light. Since the 1980s, Wang Yujuan's creation has entered a new stage; she pays more attention to the "beauty" to give people spiritual pleasure and cultivation, so that "love" and "beauty" can be integrated, resulting in a more general role of moral imperceptibility. Her favorite subjects are girls and flowers, rich fruits and strong babies. Sometimes the characters in her paintings greet a new life just like the spring breeze coming upon them. ("Flower Girl"). At the same time, the artist has made a more profound discussion on the formal beauty and artistic skills of art, thus pushing the meticulous figure painting to a new height.

Although Wang Yujuan has the realistic basis of the sketch in this paper, she does not use the rubbing of light and shadow to create a "realistic" stereo sense. With the help of line and color changes and subtle rendering, she achieves the vivid and moderate spatial effect of the characters. Therefore, it maintains the "hypothetical" and decorative nature of Oriental art. And elegant, pure charm. In terms of thread usage, she has a deep skill, not only achieves the so-called "meticulous handwriting", "tight linking" and "full of spirit" of the ancients, but also creates a colorful line style according to different moods and interests. Or gently dancing (Light Flowers) or straight and light (Green Apple) or ink line, color line, chameleon and boneless interspersion and use (Flower Girl).

Wang Yujuan's Meticulous Brushwork and heavy color give full play to the expression and appeal of color. She draws lessons from the excellent color skills in Western painting, and according to the needs of emotion and realm, each painting has a different "main tone". Beautiful Flowers and Miao Girls are both green in tone, but the former is warmer and the latter is colder, so they have different meanings of activity and quietness. The Lavender theme in The Flower Girl is set in bright yellow patches and sky blue, forming a lively and warm mood. It shows the artist's profound artistic skills.

Wang Yujuan's painting style is elegant but not frivolous, rigorous but not rigid. It contains a kind of simple and friendly feeling in its freshness and gracefulness. It not only shows her accomplishments and accomplishments, but also shows her unique character of art. In addition to the flowers and brushwork figures, Wang Yujuan is also good at capitalizing the legacy, but full of fresh artistic conception of modern art, showing her unique open, optimistic and sincere feelings. Many of her works are collected in domestic art galleries and have been exhibited abroad for many times.

The works "Before the Performing" and "Doctor in Mountain Village" were collected by the Chinese Art Museum, the "Learning Leifeng Group" was selected into the national art exhibition, the "Flaming Flames" was selected into the national art exhibition celebrating the 50th anniversary of the founding of the army, the "Motherland" was selected into the first Chinese painting exhibition of the Chinese Painting Academy and collected, the "Fruit" was selected into the national art exhibition, and the "Flower Girl" was selected in the National Art Exhibition Six National Art Exhibition Silver Awards, "RanRan Ran" won the Seventh National Art Exhibition Silver Award. Her works "Flower Girl" (1984) and "Ran Ran" (1987) won the silver prize in the sixth and Seventh National Art exhibition, and "Light Flower" (1985) won the collective special prize of plastic arts (gold medal) in the "Algiers - World Culture Gathering" event.
