康师尧(1921-1985),笔名康巽。河南博爱人,久居西安。擅长中国画。40年代毕业于武昌艺专。1956年任中国美术家协会西安分会国画研究室主任;与石鲁、赵望云等共研画艺,致力于中国画的创新,为"长安画派"的主要画家之一;画作以清新典雅为主调,兼工带写,自具风貌;作品多次参加国内外大型美展并获奖;生前为中国美术家协会会员、陕西省美协常务理事、中国工艺美术学会民间工艺专业委员会副主任、陕西国画院副院长、一级美术师。

其作品立意新奇,用笔凝重爽利,潇洒中不失精密严格的法度,僻涩中具清新隽逸,手法丰富,题材广泛,且富有浓厚的生活情趣。
其作品多次在全国各大报刊、专业杂志上发表。部分作品被中国美术馆、湖南、辽宁、天津等博物馆收藏。他先后在重庆、北京、开封、西安等地举办过个人画展,并参加过"中国画展"赴英国、日本、丹麦等国展出。在国内外享有很高的声誉。
晚期的作品兼工带写,自成一家,风格以清新、典雅为主调。笔墨娴熟悉、细腻精巧,有自己独特的风格。

1978年始,先后在中央工艺美术学院、中央美术学院、湖北省艺术学院等校讲学。
1979年参加人民大会堂陕西厅陈设更新工作,任总体设计。
1983年受中国工艺美术学会委托,与西北大学合办汉唐工艺研究班并主持教学;后任中国美协及中国书法家协会会员,美协陕西分会常务理事,书协陕西分会理事,陕西国画院副院长,中国工艺美术学会民间工艺专业委员会副主任。
先生一生从事工笔花鸟画创作研究;作品《献给祖国的一束小花》入选第六届全国美展优秀作品展;《牡丹》等十余幅作品被中国美术馆收藏,《荷花》等十幅作品被天津艺术博物馆收藏。
先后在重庆、北京、南京、开封等地举办个人画展。著有《国画基本技法》、《写意花卉技法探索》等。
1985年病逝。
康师尧先生是是长安画派唯一的以花鸟画见称的画家。由于康师尧先生那谦和的个性与独辟蹊径的画风造成了他与世无争的默默无闻的追求,他甚至极少将自己的佳作向世人展示。

Kang Shiyao, pen name Kang Sung, named Buddha, was born in Kaifeng, the ancestral home of Humanity in Henan Province. He graduated from Jiangjin Wuchang Art College in Sichuan in 1944.
For food and clothing, he was employed in Xi'an Zhongnan Match Factory as a clerk and insisted on the creation of Chinese painting in his spare time.
In 1965, he was the head of the Chinese Painting Group and one of the main members of the Chang'an Painting School.
In 1972, he participated in the creation of decoration paintings in Xi'an People's Building, Zhengzhou Station and Beijing Hotel.
Xi'an Arts and Crafts Industry Co., Ltd. was transferred in 1973.
Since 1978, he has lectured at the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts, the Central Academy of Fine Arts and the Hubei Academy of Arts.
