王宝生(1942-),后长安画派代表人物,当代陕西国画艺术大家。1962年毕业于西安美院附中,1967年毕业于西安美术学院;

其从事国画艺术六十年来,笔墨灵动润泽,意象融通,雅俗共赏。作品多被艺术院校和艺术馆收藏。

王宝生长期生活工作在基层,由于深受长安画派一手伸向传统,一手伸向生活的精神影响,坚持学习探索中国画数十年。他坚持高雅的传统艺术风格不被现实社会所污染,坚持走专业的国画艺术创作道路。由以表现淳朴厚重的黄土高原文化为主要特征,塑造黄原灵魂,抒发自然情感。他打破传统绘画的历史局限,继承长安画派回归生活本源的传统,赋予传统人文绘画新的灵魂和时代感情,为中国绘画艺术和长安画派的传承开辟了一条崭新的道路,并在长安画派艺术技法的基础上,形成了自己独特的笔墨语言体系。

1942年出生于宝鸡市长寿山。
1949年绘画天赋被李子青发现,并跟随李子青启蒙学习书法国画。
1956年,因为极具艺术天赋,由李子青推荐给安正中,并由安正中推荐到西安美术学院(美专)附中学习,在附中学习期间勤奋刻苦、出类拔萃,各专业成绩均为年级拔尖,并深受长安画派精神影响。
1962年美院附中毕业,以优秀的成绩和特有的艺术天分(第一名)考入西安美术学院,受教于赵望云、石鲁、罗铭、方济众等诸位老师。
1967年西安美术学院毕业,并留校执教。
其在西安美院附中以及西安美院学习期间创作的所有作品全部被西安美院收藏。
文革后期,调往甘肃美术创作组,进行美术创作。
1986年--1990年期间,西安美术学院(罗铭、陈启南、刘蒙天院长等)先后三次邀请王宝生回西安美院,担任西安美术学院副院长职务,王宝生三次均婉言谢绝了邀请,并从此隐居山野,淡泊心志,融入自然生活,游历山川,从事山水写生及艺术创作,隐居秦岭,致力于纯粹国画艺术研究。
1987年,应陕西省文化局及有关部门邀请,创建陕西师范大学美术学院,后婉拒学院职务,隐居秦岭。
1988年,应有关政府部门邀请,创办宝鸡文理学院艺术系(美术系)。功遂身退,隐居终南山。
90年代,其作品引起学术界极大关注,被国内外媒体及专业藏家誉为:大山深处的黄塬王。

Wang Baosheng refused the post of vice-president of Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts three times in the 1980s. He lived in the seventy-second valley of the Great Qinling Mountains. He was indifferent to nature, engaged in landscape sketching and artistic creation, and devoted himself to the study of pure traditional Chinese painting art.

In 1949, the talent of painting was discovered by Li Ziqing, who followed Li Ziqing's enlightenment to learn French painting and calligraphy.
In 1956, because of his great artistic talent, Li Ziqing recommended him to Anzhengzhong and Anzhengzhong recommended him to the attached middle school of Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts (Academy of Fine Arts). During his study in the attached middle school, he worked hard and excelled. All his professional achievements were top-notch in grade and deeply influenced by the spirit of Chang'an Painting School.
