王兆军是一位国内外知名的作家、画家、学者。

1981年，王兆军毕业于上海复旦大学，1982年任职于最高人民法院，1984年任《报告文学》编辑部主任，1987任中国新闻出版社总编辑。1990年就读于加拿大尼亚加拉学院，次年任教于加拿大安大略省博洛克大学（Brock University），并任加拿大华人作家协会主席。1996年就职于人民日报事业发展局。2007年退休。

几十年来，王兆军除文学创作外，兼修书法、国画和油画，近年涉及文艺评论，著有《王沂东的风格》、《胡石画评》、《论花鸟精神》、《陈玉圃诗画论》及《植根本义面向经典——论中国写实主义油画》等。近来，王兆军撰写了临沂书画家刘明杰、西奇、虞燕的书画评论。

王兆军是从我们临沂走出去的拥有多方面成就的优秀人才。1977年恢复高考，王兆军以优异成绩进入复旦大学中文系，获文学学士学位。在过去的数十年里，王兆军笔耕不辍，发表了大量优秀文学作品，多次获大奖。其《拂晓前的葬礼》和《原野在呼唤》曾获中国作家协会最佳中篇小说和报告文学奖，长篇小说《把兄弟》获亚洲优秀华文长篇小说奖，多部作品被译成外文。近年主要从事传记和村史写作，已出版的著作有：《黑墩屯——一个中国村庄的历史素描》，《朱陈村史》，《书圣之道——王羲之传》及长篇纪实文学《问故乡》。2016年，出版《春秋故城祝丘》和《乱世之花-文姜传》等，为开掘临沂地区的文化资源做出了积极的贡献。

2014年，在山东临沂市河东区凤凰岭创办东夷书院。该书院深居基层，虽然规模不大，但因其公益性、学术性和风格不同的教学方式，引起国内外的注意。《新华每日电讯报》刊载《回乡办书院——一位作家的支农心得》，书院部分教材曾在人民日报海外版“品味古籍”专栏刊登。书院经常邀请国内外知名学者前来讲学。近年，王兆军主要从事民间教育和书画创作。

 Wang Zhaojun is a well-known writer, painter and scholar at home and abroad.

In 1981, Wang Zhaojun graduated from Fudan University in Shanghai. In 1982, he served in the Supreme People's Court. In 1984, he was the editor-in-chief of Reportage and in 1987, the editor-in-chief of China News Press. In 1990, he studied at Niagara College, Canada, and the following year he taught at Brock University, Ontario, Canada. He also served as president of the Canadian Chinese Writers Association. He took office in People's Daily Business Development Bureau in 1996. Retirement in 2007.

For decades, besides literary creation, Wang Zhaojun has studied calligraphy, traditional Chinese painting and oil painting concurrently. In recent years, he has been involved in literary and artistic criticism. His works include Wang Yidong's Style, Hu Shi Painting Review, On the Spirit of Flowers and Birds, Chen Yuyuan's Poetry and Painting Theory, and Planting Fundamental Principles for Classics: On Chinese Realistic Oil Painting. Recently, Wang Zhaojun wrote a review of Linyi calligraphers and painters Liu Mingjie, Xiqi and Yu Yan.

Wang Zhaojun is a talented person with many achievements who went out from Linyi. In 1977, when the college entrance examination was resumed, Wang Zhaojun entered the Chinese Department of Fudan University with excellent results and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree. In the past decades, Wang Zhaojun has been writing and publishing a large number of excellent literary works, winning many awards. His Funeral Before Dawn and The Call of the Wilderness won the Best Novel and Reportage Award of the Chinese Writers'Association. His novel The Brothers won the Asian Excellent Chinese Novel Award, and many of his works were translated into foreign languages. In recent years, he has mainly engaged in biography and village history writing. His publications include Heiduntun, a historical sketch of a Chinese village, the history of Zhu Chen Village, the way of book sage, the biography of Wang Xizhi, and the long documentary literature Asking Hometown. In 2016, the publication of "Zhuqiu in the Old City of Spring and Autumn" and "Flowers of the Chaotic Times - Biography of Wenjiang" made positive contributions to the exploration of cultural resources in Linyi area.

In 2014, Dongyi Academy was founded in Fenghuangling, Hedong District, Linyi City, Shandong Province. Although the academy is small in scale, it attracts attention both at home and abroad because of its different teaching methods of public welfare, academic and style. The Xinhua Daily Telegraph publishes The Experience of Running Academy Back to Home - A Writer's Support for Farmers. Some textbooks of the Academy have been published in the column "Tasting Ancient Books" in the overseas edition of the People's Daily. The academy often invites well-known scholars from home and abroad to give lectures. In recent years, Wang Zhaojun mainly engaged in folk education and painting creation.
