谢志高,1958年考入广州美术学院附中。后入该院中国画系学习。1966年毕业于广州美术学院中国画系。1978年考取中央美术学院中国画研究生。1980年毕业，留中央美术学院中国画系任教。1988年调入中国画研究院。为中国美术家协会会员，中国画研究院专业画家。 现退休，退休为中国画研究院创作研究部主任、国家一级美术师、国务院特殊津贴专家、文化部高级职称评委。

1988年秋率团访日，参加中日水墨画展览及交流活动。
1990年春，应邀赴香港举办个人画展。
1990年夏，应邀赴泰国举办个人画展。
1991年至1992年受聘为美国新闻文化总署富布莱特基金会高级学者，赴美国讲学，并在亚特兰大、芝加哥等地举办画展。
1995年秋应邀赴马来西亚、新加坡做学术交流，为马来西亚艺术学院讲课。
1997年底在深圳（关山月美术馆）举办大型个人画展。
1998年9月参加全国第五次美术家代表大会并当选为理事。
1998年11月应邀访问澳门。
1998年12月参加深圳国际水墨画双年展。
作品曾多次参加全国美展，以及在十几个国家展出，文轩画廊推荐画家谢志高曾两次获北京优秀美术作品奖，全国连环画二等奖，套书一等奖；获北京国际水墨画优秀奖及中、日、韩水墨画优秀奖等。主要论着有《写意人物画技 法》、《水墨仕女画技法》、《谢志高画集》等。

Graduated in 1980, left China Central Academy of Fine Arts Department of Chinese painting. In 1988 China painting research institute. Member of Chinese Artists Association, Chinese painting institute. Now retired, retired as director, Creative Research Institute of the Ministry of Chinese painting national artist, special allowance from the State Council, the Ministry of culture of senior judges.
In the autumn of 1988 to visit Japan, Japan ink painting exhibition and exchange activities.
1990 spring, was invited to hold an exhibition in Hongkong.
1990 summer, was invited to hold an exhibition in Thailand.
From 1991 to 1992 was hired for the American news cultural department Fulbright foundation senior scholar, to the United States to give lectures, and held exhibitions in Atlanta, Chicago and other places.
1995 autumn was invited to Malaysia, Singapore to do academic exchanges, lectures for the Malaysia Institute of art.
By the end of 1997 in Shenzhen (GuanShanYue Art Museum) held exhibitions.
September 1998 to participate in the Fifth National Congress of artists and elected as director.
November 1998 invited to visit Macao.
December 1998 to participate in the Shenzhen international ink painting biennale.
His works have participated in the national art exhibition, and exhibited in a dozen countries, Wenxuan Gallery painter Xie Zhigao had two times the recommended by the Beijing Fine Art Prize, two prize, national Comic Book Award; awarded the Beijing International Award for excellence in painting and painting, Japanese and Korean excellence award. The main theory is "freehand figure painting techniques", "ink painting techniques", "Xie Zhigao" on the album.
