段军，北京人，生于1960年，毕业于中国人民解放军艺术学院，中国美术家协会会员。
段军先生擅长山水画，正是画如其人，人如其画。其作品或厚重凝练、气势磅礴，或拙野飘逸、意境清远，仿佛蛮荒太古世外桃源。点缀其间的各种乡趣盎然的驴马牛羊、野舍村夫，又透露出画家的生活情趣和审美意象。
执着源于热爱，段军先生热爱自然热爱艺术，多年来遍游自然山川，广阅人间百态、，进行大量写生和艺术实践，近年来艺术创作渐入佳境，其作品于水墨酣畅之间透露出独特的自我感悟与抒发，正像画家在其博客雪萍山水居中所写：“千百年来青山不改绿水长流，任由人们解读和感叹，这份从容自在与和谐天成，也许正是真正的山水之魂吧！”某种程度上，这和谐天成的山水之魂也许恰好是段军先生本人的绝好写照。
段军先生因画结缘，社会活动广泛，任北京中海人才教育中心董事长，北京中海画院院长兼法人、北京市传统艺术交流协会秘书长、海淀区万柳地区书画交流协会会长等。
段军先生的作品曾多次参加中国美协举办的展览并获奖，作品发表于各大专业期刊和图书等，并被国内外藏家多次收藏。
2000年作品《太行秋韵》入选《跨世纪暨建国50周年全国山水画展》；
2003年作品《高原牧唱图》入选《第二届全国中国画展》；
