原名叶富师。广东省梅县人。1960年至今一直从事美术专业。天津美术学院毕业。专业画家。现为一级美术师，中国美术家协会会员、北京湖社画会秘书长、中国国画家协会副主席、中华清风书画协会副主席、全国卫生书画协会副主席。经常组织、参与全国性社会学术团体的学术活动，并多次担任领导及评委。
多年来，他在中国画的创作上勇于探索实践，将传统绘画技法与生活真情体验和现代美学思想融为一体，使其作品笔力雄浑、神清气灵、苍润华滋。用心血和激情演绎着山水神髓，化丹青为情韵，讴歌了大自然变幻瑰丽的造化之美，抒发了崇尚自然回归自然“天人合一”的思想和情感。功夫不负有心人。近年来，其中国画《龙脊》、《高原十月》1997年分别在加拿大、台湾参加国际水墨画展览，获铜奖并收藏。
