生于浙江杭州，从小痴迷于书画。在公安系统行政工作之余，醉心翰墨。现为浙江省国际美术交流协会常务理事、浙江省书法家协会、美术家协会会员、浙江当代中国画院特聘画师、浙江省中国文化研究会艺术研究中心研究员。金耀耿师承中国美术学院教授、著名画家洪世清先生，擅长书法绘画。其书法上追二王、下探明清，尤其深研赵孟頫笔意、清秀挺拔、内涵丰富。其画作早年以连环画入手，基础扎实，后得洪世清教授亲授，眼界开阔，作品用笔大胆，造型生动、颇具生活情趣。
擅长书法、国画。书法上追二王、下探明清，主攻赵孟頫、董其昌、米芾等名家字帖，厚积薄发、风格独具。国画以人物、熊猫等见长，意境深远、形神兼备。书画作品曾多次获奖。
