朱琦，出生于1920年的上海。1937年，17岁的朱琦在中国第一家百货大楼上海先施公司广告部任职，1941年毕业于上海新华艺专。1945年投身革命。他不仅是革命的老前辈，也是浙江美术界的老前辈，曾经是浙江省美协第一任秘书长，并参与浙江画院的创建，是浙江美术界发展的见证者、亲友者。

朱琦已经93岁高龄，至今绘画不倦。他擅长花鸟、人物，喜作钟馗、道释、雄鹰一类题材。构思奇特，笔致苍劲，画风纯朴，情感真切。他画花鸟，用笔爽利，他画人物，极富特色。
