生于上海。1966年毕业于浙江美术学院（即今中国美术学院）中国画系花鸟画专业，师从潘天寿、吴?之、诸乐三、陆抑非等花鸟画名家。1980年该校花鸟画研究生班毕业后留校任教至今。作品多次参加全国性及省市画展，曾在多种刊物上发表，并被中南海、中宣部、文化部等部门收现为浙江省美协会员，西泠印社社员，浙江省花鸟画家协会副主席，中国美术学院教授，浙江逸仙书画院院委。
