解维础，1946年生，山东牟平人。师承关友声、黑伯龙等艺术家。1975年调入山东工艺美术学校(现山东工艺美术学院)任教。曾任山东工艺美术学院美术系国画教研室主任、济南市政协委员。系山东大学东方艺术研究院客座教授、山东书画学会学术委员、山东当代书画研究院副院长、山东画院高级画师等。现为山东工艺美术学院教授。
历年来，其先后在院校和省级刊物上发表了《谈中国画的神、韵、情、境》、《与自然同声息》、《中国山水画简议》等学术论文。

1973年，国画作品海河组画之一《绿化》入选全国美展。

1983年，国画作品《王安石诗意——一水护田将绿绕》在中国画研究院选题画竞赛中入选。

1988年，国画作品《济宁东大寺》参加全国京杭大运河画展并出版画集。

1990年，创作国画《泰岳松云》在北京国际会议中心第八会议厅长期陈列。

1991年，创作国画《沂蒙春晓》在人民大会堂山东厅长期陈列。

1992年，应邀赴中国香港地区和日本举办画展。

1993年，创作国画《大明湖胜境》在天安门城楼长期陈列。

1995年，创作巨幅国画《雄峙天东》在中南海西花厅周恩来总理故居长期陈列。

2000年，应邀赴韩国举办画展。国画作品《泰岳南天门》入选中国当代美术画集。

2001年，创作国画《趵突春色》在山东会堂贵宾厅长期陈列。

有多幅作品被奥地利昆堡艺术馆、澳大利亚南威尔士艺术博物馆、日本、韩国、新加坡和欧美许多国家及中国港澳地区收藏。

代表作《治黄大军》、《泰岱松云》、《黄山松泉》、《大明湖胜境》、《黄鹤楼胜境)、《趵突春色》、《泰山雄姿》(四条屏)、《江山揽胜》(四条屏)、《古楼名阁》（四条屏）、《泉城风光》(四条屏)、《江山春色图》(通景六条屏)等几十幅作品在山东美术出版社、《人民画报》、《山东画报》等多家画刊、出版社发表出版。

主要著作有：《黄河》(国画集）、《海河新图》（国画集)、《泰山松》（国画集）、《解维础山水画选集》、《树石山泉画法》（技法专著）、《中国当代艺术家画库——解维础画集》、《怎样画树石山泉》等。其中《怎样画树石山泉》一书获山东工艺美术学院第一届教学科研成果三等奖。此外还主编出版有《中国东部建筑素描》及《当代中国艺术》(光盘)等。

解维础的绘画艺术，在山东电视台《时代美术》栏目、山东电视台综艺频道、山东教育电视台《书画家》栏目、济南电视台文化栏目都多次专题介绍。其艺术履历入编《丹青谱——山东著名国画家传》、《当代书画篆刻家辞典》等多种辞书。
