丁辅之(1879年8月14日~1949年7月12日),近代篆刻家、书画家。原名仁友,后改名仁,字辅之,号鹤庐,又号守寒巢主,后以字行。浙江杭州人,系晚清著名藏书家“八千卷楼主人”丁松生从孙。

艺术家丁辅之简介

丁辅之(1879年8月14日~1949年7月12日),近代篆刻家、书画家。原名仁友,后改名仁,字辅之,号鹤庐,又号守寒巢主,后以字行。浙江杭州人,系晚清著名藏书家“八千卷楼主人”丁松生从孙。其家以藏书之丰闻名于海内。嗜甲骨文,尝以甲骨文撰书楹联编成册,又喜篆刻,名印金石,代有收罗,尤以西泠八家印作为多。并擅画花卉瓜果,极其璀璨芳菲。幼承家学。一度同王禔供职于沪杭铁路局。公余之暇,探讨金石书画。
1904年与王禔、吴隐、厉良玉、叶舟等发起创办西泠印社于杭州孤山。社址即设于丁氏幼年读书处。该社以“保存金石,研究印学”为宗旨,对当时及以后的篆刻、书画艺术的创作、研究和发展起了积极作用。寓居上海后,1916年前后与其弟共创方形聚珍仿宋版字模,提供上海中华书局用于排印诗文集,
1921年归于该书局排印大型丛书《四部备要》。经常与吴昌硕王一亭、童大年、黄葆戉等相聚于海上题襟馆金石书画会,切磋探讨金石书画。善绘花卉瓜果,尤长梅花。作品画面色彩浓丽,行家谓“极璀灿芳菲之妙”。嗜印成癖。篆刻用刀劲健,布局安详,宗法秦汉,兼取众长,深得浙派妙谛。于商卜文辞探索有素,曾在罗振玉等人基础上,集自撰联语、诗作,于1928年刊印有《商卜文集联(附集诗)》、1938年刊有《商卜文分韵》及《唐宋三百首集联》、《全韵画梅诗》、集商卜文《观水游山集》。工书,长于甲骨篆文,结字停匀,用笔疏朗瘦劲,变恣意天然的古朴卜文书风为整齐工丽且带有装饰效果,颇具整体感。曾将家藏及自藏之印章,先后辑成《西泠八家印谱》三十卷(1904)和四卷(1925)、《杭郡印辑》、《悲盦印賸》以及袖珍本《丁氏秦汉印谱》二卷。
