衣惠春、字北人、号紫草，生于辽宁丹东，祖籍山东蓬莱。现为文化部侨联中国徐悲鸿画院艺术委员会副主任，北京世界华人文化院书画艺术委员会副主任，北京世纪名人国际书画院院士，辽宁国画院副院长，中国国画家协会常务理事，红楼梦世界书画院院长，中国名人书画院副院长。

在五十年的艺术生涯中，画家锲而不舍，求艺不止。在师造化、识传统、重修养的基础上，其作品缘情悟道，不拘一格，融雄浑博大与清秀典雅为一体，气韵生动，功力深厚，韵味纯正，风格独立。先后在北京、上海、沈阳、大连、合肥、汕头、抚顺、福州、南昌等地及曰本、新加坡等国举办画展。画家以擅画长卷大画而著称，被誉为“大山水画派的传人”、“全景山水画的高手”。许多鸿篇巨构或金碧辉煌或泼墨泼彩或线墨交错，以磅礴气势和幽远意境而名重画坛。有“画史阙如，当存其范”之誉。数十年来，画家“敢言天地是吾师”，坚持深入生活，拥抱自然，以写生为创作源泉，九上黄山，八登泰山，足迹遍及大江南北、名山大川，以饱满的创作热情，不断探索，将浓厚的生活气息、时代精神融入自己的画风之中。中央电视台新闻频道、央视二台《鉴宝》栏目对画家做了专题介绍。作品曾多次在国内外大展中获奖并为毛主席纪念堂、文化部、中央美术学院、中国画研究院、辽宁省博物馆、张学良陈列馆等单位及众多国际知名人士收藏。《美术》、《美苑》、《人民日报》、《中国书画报》、《传记文学》等报刊多次刊登其作品及专家评介文章，并荣获国家人事部“中国当代国画杰出人才奖”。多年来，与夫人石丹，女儿衣阳以《衣惠春艺术工作室》活跃在北京画坛，被誉为“一个和谐家庭，三个画坛精英”，受到国内外艺术界、收藏界、新闻界的关注与好评。

有《衣惠春作品集》、《衣惠春画集》、《中国近现代名家精品丛书——衣惠春作品精选》、《魂系河山——衣惠春艺术集》出版发行。

代表作品有《武夷山图卷》、《魂系黄河图卷》、《圣地井冈山图卷》、《春江花月夜》、《华夏山河颂》、《滕王高阁图》等。

1961年毕业于抚顺师范艺术专科，1987年考入中国?国家画院，师从何海霞研修山水画。是关东画派代表画家之一。

In his fifty years of artistic career, the painter persevered and pursued art. On the basis of teacher-made, traditional knowledge and self-cultivation, his works are based on sentiment and understanding of Tao, not rigid in style, and integrate vigorous, broad and elegant into one. Painting exhibitions were held in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenyang, Dalian, Hefei, Shantou, Fushun, Fuzhou, Nanchang, Japan and Singapore. The painter is famous for his great skill in scroll painting and is known as "the successor of the great landscape painting school" and "the master of panoramic landscape painting". Many magnificent works or brilliant or splashing ink and splashing colors or interlacing lines and ink are renowned for their magnificent momentum and remote artistic conception.
