张岳健，出生于浙江浦江，从小受家庭影响和民间艺术的薰陶，酷爱中国画和书法，1947年考入国立艺专(浙江美术院前身)，亲灸黄宾虹、潘天寿、吴茀之等先生的教诲，艺事日益精进。擅长意笔花鸟，兼工人物、山水，取法多方，画路宽广，堪称中国画的多面手。曾在上海人民出版社、上海教育出版社从事美术创作多年。曾任中国美术学院中国画系教授。出版有《国画琐谈》、《随感录》、《花鸟画教材》、《吴茀之传》、《张岳健画集》等。
