贺志伊，原名贺熏，当代著名国画家，河北束鹿县人。自幼酷爱绘画，少时在本村上过两三年私塾。13岁去辛集镇石印馆学徒，因业余练习书画被辞退。17岁只身去天津，作画糊口。为寻名师深造，20岁去北平，入北平大学艺术学院中国画系学习，专攻花鸟，曾得齐白石、王萝白、陈半丁等名家指导。1931年毕业后，先后在河北省定县、永年、正定、沧县、北平、山西省大同等地中等学校任美术教员。所擅长的写意花卉、禽鸟等已有独到之处。1937年抗战爆发后，携家至甘肃省天水、兰州，在中学或师范任美术教员。并举行过5次个人画展，声誉日隆。抗战胜利后移家西安，任教于西北中学，画艺日臻成熟。1950年任职于西安市文联、美协，出席了西安市首届文代会。1951年后，先后在新乡师范学院、郑州师专、开封师范学院等校任教。教学之余致力于花鸟山水画技法的研究。1964年为郑州中州宾馆作巨幅国画《和平之春》、《梅喜图》等，为北京人民大会堂河南厅创作了多幅国画。1965年他的代表作《万山深处水运忙》，以画功独特，技法新颖而入选全国美展。为以艺传人，应接来访求教者数以万计。晚年为郑州二七纪念堂、二七纪念塔、车站贵宾室、作协、民航等单位作画千余幅。最后完成一幅巨作《牡丹》。1974年因患食道癌病逝。1981年春，河南省美协在郑州为贺志伊等举行美术联展。其代表作有：《枫叶八哥》、《春江水暖鸭先知》、《和平之春》、《牡丹》、《万花园》、《万山深处水运忙》等。
