周秀青美术作品

周秀青，女，一九三七年生于河北秦皇岛，一九五四年入东北美专附中学习绘画，一九六二年毕业于鲁迅美术学院中国画系，同年入中央民族大学任教。现为中央民族大学美术系教授，研究生导师，中国美术家协会会员，中国当代工笔画会理事，湖氏画会理事。她是中国著名女国画家，擅长少数民族题材的中国画人物画创作、工笔写意兼长。
主要作品
《哈伲妇女》、《万方乐奏》、《侗寨妇女》、《新娘与伴娘》、《功寨酒歌》、《晒太阳》、《勤劳智慧的人民》等，部分作品被中国美术馆、北京美协等单位收藏，其中：
其作品《哈伲妇女》参加《中国百年画展》并入选《百年中国画集》；
其作品《新娘》、《苗家醉》、《万方乐奏》获北京优秀作品奖；
其作品《侗寨妇女》参加全国美展，《酿新酒》参加全国六届美展；
其作品《新娘与伴娘》获北京美协二等奖、首届民族大家庭优秀奖，《苗寨酒歌》获北京市美协优秀奖，《晒太阳》获全国教师美展“专业优秀奖”，《勤劳智慧的人民》获全国科普美展二等奖，《花街比美》获当代工笔大展三等奖；
其作品《阿佤风情》、《哈尼妇女》、《梁布》、《花香七月》、《银衣》、《母与子》、《赶场》、《赛装》、《瑶族与草果》等作品参加国内外重要画展。
而她的作品《民族大团结》，具有扎实的工笔与写意技法，勾勒出一个个令人难以忘怀的少数民族人物形象，反映着他们的生活和丰富的情感世界。1999年，应国家民委、邮电部之约，为纪念国庆五十周年而设计了系列纪念邮票，其中五十六枚全版邮票《民族大团结》为世界邮票史上最大的邮票，被誉为“国家名片”、“中华第一票”、“祖国全家福”，多次被党和国家领导人作为礼品赠送外国贵宾，并获得1999年“最佳邮品奖”。中央电视台、人民日报、北京电视台作了多次专题报导，她还被邀接受“东方之子”专题采访。2002年，又被中央电视台教育台聘为美术顾问。
工作业绩
几十年来，周教授一直从事少数民族美术教育和创作工作，经常深入民族地区体验生活，潜心研究少数民族民俗及风情，积累了大量生活素材，是我国画坛精通民俗风情屈指可数的画家。她被中央民族大学誉为该校的栋梁和瑰宝，是既有丰富的生活底蕴，又有自己独特画风的实力派画家。
由于周教授几十年来献身美术教育事业，专心培养学生，默默从事创作和理论研究，极少有作品流入民间，其崇高地位和艺术成就未能在艺术市场有所体现。
2000年12月，与周教授夫妇有几十年美术情结的唐山美术界为周教授举办了首届大型个人画展。随后“聚雅斋”画廊为周教授创建了“周秀清工作室”，开始以唐山为基地逐步把周教授作品推向社会。
