中国当代美术家、中国美协会员、1944年生于辽宁古辰州一个两代书香门弟的家庭。自幼酷爱绘画，少年时即在省市美展中获奖。80年代初受教于中央美院，北京画院等名家前辈（李可染、高冠华、周思聪、白雪石、娄师白、王文芳、范曾等）。善人物、山水兼工花鸟。
80年代以来、其作品多次在国家文化部、中国文联、中国美协和海外组织的国际性艺术大展中入选，获奖和收藏。学术专著《写意人物画的写生写创作技法》由辽宁美术出版社出版。作品《钟馗夜巡》获“97当代全国工笔画大展”优秀奖，并被国家文化部收藏；《八仙图》、《山里人》、《宜将剩勇追穷寇》等作品分别入选中国美协主办的大展收藏和编入画册。近10年分别在美国、新加坡、马来西亚、日本、韩国、香港等国家和地区举办画展，并被各国友人收藏。
