谭翃晶（谭红晶）祖籍湖南长沙，1962年出生于山东济南。早年毕业于解放军军医学院，后就读于中央美术学院国画系，现为中国美术家协会会员，2007年全国中国画大展组委会办公室副主任，中国美术家协会山西创作中心副主任，中央党校书画院副院长，北京美协会员。国画家。
自幼喜爱书画，有丰厚的文学知识和宽广的知识面。经过多年来对传统绘画和书法孜孜不倦的追求，精研个中奥秘，作品显示着雅风和文气，狂放处含精微，精微处寓狂放，笔情墨趣尽出其中，画风雄健纯朴，主攻山水、花鸟，兼修书法。

她的【美丽家园】系列作品，在中国民居题材的创作中更是独树一帜。画家数年来致力于收集和整理中国现存的和濒临消失的各民族、各区域古朴的老民居、民宅。用细腻而严谨的表现
手法、古拙而雄浑的笔墨，将这些充满浓郁东方文化气息和生活情趣的生活场景呈现在作品中，使作品鲜活灵动、引人入胜。加之女性特有的秀润与委婉，使作品粗犷中见妩媚，雄浑中有婀娜，笔墨细致又泼辣。
她的[孔雀]系列作品，贯穿了作者对孔雀的喜爱和欣赏.她笔下的孔雀，步态轻盈，眼神机灵，时而悠闲漫步，时而翩翩起舞，灵动的头颈、翡翠般的羽翼都被作者摹写的精神抖擞、栩栩如生。她笔下的孔雀不是圈养在宫廷的宠物，而是生长在大自然里的美丽精灵，西双版纳辽阔的林间草地、蕉荫竹林是它们自由的家园。
书法初学汉隶，对《张迁碑》和《石门颂》下过数年苦功，后又宗法王铎、米芾，重节奏、重韵律，布局跌宕、章法严谨，线条富有节奏感，笔墨遒劲有力，刚柔相济。她画中的线条，粗细相间、干湿得当，有一种灵动的韵律，得宜于她不断的研习书法。画外功夫的广博，是造就画内功夫的源泉。
