陈卫建，男，国家一级美术师，河北师范大学美术系毕业，中国美协会员，河北省美术家协会常务理事，石家庄市美协副主席。
1982年毕业于河北师范大学美术系，
2001年参加中国美协举办的高级研讨班学习；
2002年考入中央美院国画系第一工作室研究生班。
2000年10月，作品《矿工兄弟》入选中国美协在浙江义乌举办的《2000年全国中国画作品展》并获优秀奖。
2004年9月，作品《采掘者》入选中国美协主办的《第二届人物画展》并获优秀奖。
2005年8月，作品《岁月无华》入选中国美协主办的《首届中国写意画作品展》并获优秀作品奖（最高奖）。
2002年9月，作品《班中餐》局部入选中国美协主办《2002年中国美术家协会第十六次新人新作展》。
2004年8月，作品《采掘者》入选文化部、中国美协主办的《第十届全国美术作品展》。
2001年9月，作品《班中餐》入选中国美协在青岛举办的《2001年全国中国画作品展》;作品入选中国美协在北京中国美术馆举办的《新时代中国画作品展》;
2001年，作品《矿工兄弟》入选中国美协在澳大利亚举办的《二十一世纪中国画澳大利亚展》。
2002年，作品《矿工兄弟》入选2002年迎奥运全国中国画大展。
2003年9月，作品《憩》入选中国美协在北京军事博物馆举办的《海潮杯中国画作品展》；作品入选《迎奥运全国中国画大展》。
作品散见于《人民日报》、《光明日报》、《美术》、《中国书画报》、《美术报》、《水墨研究》、《中国美术》等国家级报刊。并出版有《中国实力派画家－陈卫建》、《中国名家小品精选》等画册。
2006年8月，作品《侗家人》入选《第三届中国美术家协会会员精品展》。
2006年上半年多幅作品：《太阳升起的地方》、《母子》、《井下矿工》、《淑女》参加了《中国画研究院名家邀请展》、《第十八届全国文房四宝艺术博览会暨当代中国画家邀请展》。
