刘君礼（1906—1978）别名痴一，河北省安新人，1926年毕业于河北师范学校。1931年考入北平艺专学习。1934年拜张大千为师，后在河北定县、赵县任中学教师。1943年到四川继续跟随张大千学画，为入室弟子，大千赏其笃诚可靠，委之兼理卖画事宜及钱物等。解放后一度任职于国家卫生部，1956年加入中国美术家协会，1958年调入天津河北艺术师范学院绘画系任讲师，教授山水课。其山水画师法石涛、龚贤、张大千，常言：“求石涛笔法、龚贤墨法为一”。擅积墨法，曾为人民大会堂河北厅创作《白洋淀》。他在教育上重视中国画基础教学，为教学画了很多图谱式大册页，如山石、树木、舟桥之示范画。为山水画教学留下了宝贵的经验。
