裘兆明：1940年生，浙江嵊县人。1959年毕业于中央美术学院附中。1964年毕业于中央美术学院中国画系师从李可染、李苦禅、叶浅予、宗其香等先生。现为人民美术出版社正编审、北京女美术家联谊会理事、中国美术家协会会员。作品频繁在国内外展览、收藏和获奖。如1990年获国际儿童读物联盟荣誉奖及安徒生奖提名，是中国第一位获此殊荣的画家。1995年巨作被天安门城楼展藏。1997年入选美国“中国画名家作品展”。1999年获“世界杰出华人艺术家”称号及国际荣誉金奖。2001年作品入选全国“百年中国画大展”。2003年在北京举办“裘兆明山水画展”有《裘兆明山水画集》等多种出版物面世。入编《中国现代美术家人名大辞典》等多种辞书及许多大型画册。
