顾生岳，祖籍宁波镇海(今北仑)，生于舟山，1952年毕业留中央美术学院华东分院任教，为现代浙派人物画代表画家之一。中国美术学院教授、中国美术家协会会员， 历任杭州市美术家协会、 浙江美术学院中国画系主任、浙江画院副院长、浙江人物画研究会会长、中国工笔画学会顾问、中国工笔画艺术委员会副主任。
