徐宁，1936年4月生，江苏盐城人，中国美术家协会会员，中国一级美术师，著名人物画家，现为江苏省国画院专职画家(原江苏省国画院人物研究室主任)。曾任南京市美术家协会理事。

南京市文联委员；自幼从军入伍，在部队从事文化宣传与美术创作，后转入地方工作，作品多次入选全国和国际美术大展，并多次获奖。为中国美术馆、中国画研究馆、中南海及毛泽东纪念堂、日本名古屋艺术博物馆、美国洛杉矶艺术馆等中外艺术收藏机构收藏和陈列：作品曾在中国美术馆、中国画研究院及意大利|、加拿大、日本、香港、台湾及国内外众多美术馆展出。

出版有《徐宁中国画集》、《当代著名艺术家画库》等个人画集十余册，并入编《百年中国书画》、《当代中国画六大家》(人民美术出版社)、《中国美术史——现代卷》(上海人美出版)、《当代人物画领军人物》(中国文联出版社)、《当代画坛最具艺术升值潜力画家》(河北美术出版)等丛书。

传历收入；《现代中国画史》、《中国当代国画家辞典》、《英国剑桥世界名人、著名学者辞典》，美国国家传记协会编著《世界名人传记辞典——第五卷》等。
