何纪争，北京人，满族。毕业研修于陕西美协国画创研究室及中央美院。国家一级美术师，西安长安画院副院长，“何海霞美术馆”馆长，陕西省美术家协会专职画家，中国美术家协会会员。自幼随父何海霞习画，并亲自聆听赵望云、石鲁等国画大师教诲多年。数百幅作品曾在美国、日本、马来西亚、新加坡等国家和台湾地区展出、发表，并被收藏。1964年作品《硕果丰收》被选入“全国美展”展出；1987年为人民大会堂作画；1992年在珠海举办个人画展；作品《归来》在《中国书画》等报刊上发表；《北国风光》被选入《陕西当代中国画集》。1995年赴台湾举办“家族画展”；1996年参加“全国首届扇面展”担任评委；1996年参加“昆明全国中国画邀请展”；1997年参加“全国中年画家奠黄帝陵采风活动”；1998年应邀参加“全国澳门写生活动”；1999年参加“庆澳门回归全国中国画邀请展”获优秀奖；2000年出版《何纪争、曹湘泰山水画专辑》；2002年由陕西人民美术出版社出版《中国画名家作品精选·何纪争专辑》；2004年由北京工艺出版社出版当代名家技法解析——《何纪争写意山水》，并被云南大学聘为客座教授、参加陕西画家赴香格里拉写生活动。2005年荣获第五届当代中国山水画展获特等金奖。主要作品有：《高原新绿》、《山居小景》、《群峰竞秀》、《北国风光》、《黄天厚土》等。他的作品多次参加国内外展出并获奖。在继承和发展“长安画派”的事业中做出了一定的贡献，是第二代“长安画派”画家中的后起之秀。他的名字被记录在《世界名人录》及《中国美术家大辞典》等书中。
