樊波，1957年12月生，学于北京大学，攻读美学硕士学位，而后，又在中国社会科学院从滕守尧先生攻读艺术美学博士学位。现任南京艺术学院教授、博士生导师。美术学系主任，中国美术家协会会员。江苏省美学会副会长，江苏省美术家协会理论艺委会副主任、秘书长。
从事书画研究、创作和教学工作。现在南京艺术学院美术学院教授、博士生导师、中国美术家协会会员。从事书画艺术创作和理论研究。作品曾在《荣宝斋》、《美术》、《江苏画刊》、《现代书画家报》、《中国书道》、《艺术阵线》、法国《欧洲时报》、《星岛日报》等刊物上发表。作品《山水清音》乃由中国社会科学院哲学所赠由德国大哲学家哈贝马斯收藏。主要著作有《董其昌研究》、《中国书美学史纲》、《中国人物画史》、《时间与存在》等。1986年曾在南京举办画展，1987年在上海举办画展，1989年在中国美术馆参加中国现代艺术大展，2007年参与并主持中国书画研究院书画展，2008年曾举办学者型画展，2009年参加荣宝斋画院“回耕砚田”名家作品展。中国社会科学院哲学所把作品《水清山音》赠由德国大哲学家哈贝马斯收藏。
