谭述乐，男，北京建筑工程学院建筑与城市规划学院设计艺术系教授，硕士生导师。中国美术家协会会员。1978年在四川美术学院习国画，1997年毕业于中央美术学院，获美术学硕士学位。2003年获中央美术学院美术学博士学位。2003至2005年在北京师范大学艺术与传媒学院作博士后研究。
数十年从事绘画创作于艺术理论、书画鉴定研究，擅长写意人物、花鸟。多次参加国内外大型艺术展并获奖。在国内外等地举办个人画展数次。多幅作品曾在北京嘉德、保利、华辰、瀚海、隆荣等大型拍卖公司拍卖。
出版个人画集五部：《中国当代名家—谭述乐画集》。《谭述乐人物画集》，《谭述乐荷花画集》，《谭述乐花鸟画集》，《当代书画名家谭述乐》。出版学术专著：《王石谷绘画风格与真伪鉴定》，《中国古代名画家王翬》。在国内核心期刊发表学术论文三十多篇。博士后出站报告《传统绘画的再认识》作为优秀博士论文收录在清华大学《中国优秀博士论文全文数据库》。多次在国际国内学术研讨会上宣读发表论文。
