孔六庆，1955年10月出生于江苏省无锡市。现为南京艺术学院教授、博士、硕导。中国美术家协会会员。《中国画艺术专史》副主编，江苏省花鸟画研究会工笔花鸟研究组组长。苏州大学“李长白中国画艺术研究所”学术委员。
1978年考入南京艺术学院

1988年《草野》获江苏省美展优秀奖。《竹林雾鹑》参加全国花鸟画邀请展并为李可染艺术陈列馆收藏。《六月草间风凉》获江苏省花鸟画展优秀奖。荣获“南京艺术学院优秀教育工作者”称号。
1989年《夜风起处》入选第七届全国美展。《蟋蟀》入选全国地震美展。《秋风》、《夏夜》等一批陶瓷绘画作品获江苏省工艺美术优秀作品奖。其中《夏夜》后为南京博物院收藏。
1990年7月在中国画研究院举办工笔花鸟画个展，受到中国美术家协会名誉主席、中央美术学院名誉院长吴作人先生，中国画研究院院长刘勃舒先生的充分肯定和鼓励。《花深禽幽》为中国画研究院收藏。10月《湖汀》应邀参加中国画研究院院展。荣获南京艺术学院优秀教学质量奖。
1991年《湖汀》被选入“中国画研究院院展作品选”，刊登于《美术》第1期。《人民画报》第2期以《金陵画坛新秀》为题用多国文字作了世界性介绍，同时刊登的作品有《清趣》。
1992年为了深化自己的创作，自1990年11月起有意识地进入绘画史研究，写成了30万字的《中国工笔花鸟画史》，台湾《鉴赏》杂志开始连载。《山光鸟性》入选江苏省花鸟画展。《夏夜》为南京博物院收藏。
1993年《画廊》的“当代花鸟境界专辑”专题推出《孔六庆密密草丛》。《乱草中的茶花与鸟》、《扶桑花开》入选台湾《鉴赏珍品欣赏》。自80年代以来完成了《花鸟画创作本源探》、《我的工笔花鸟画艺术观》、《自然就是美》等论文十篇左右，分别发表于各专业杂志，有的被收入《美术理论文集》。南京艺术学院硕士研究生主要课程班结业。
1994年7月应台湾方面邀请，在台中市立文化中心举办《四季花开—孔六庆工笔花鸟画展》，几十件作品为台湾艺术收藏界高价购藏。出版《四季花开—孔六庆工笔花鸟画展集》。南京艺术学院学报《艺苑》专题出《孔六庆的花鸟画作品》。《雪雁》被选为台湾《鉴赏》杂志封面作品。开始写生创作秋荷长卷。
1995年至1996年应周积寅教授之约，写作《中国画派研究丛书》中的《黄画派》、《徐熙画派》两本专著，期间埋身于图书馆，在大量古籍中搜寻相关黄、徐的资料。创作《秋荷清远》入选江苏省花鸟画展。
1997年江西美术出版社成立了以王伯敏教授为顾问、周积寅教授为主编的《中国画艺术专史》编委会，除了与之签订《中国画艺术专史花鸟卷》出版合同外，还被聘为副主编。该年起，再次埋身于图书馆更为广泛地搜寻、整理、研究资料，为写作中国花鸟画史作准备。创作《寒雪将凝》入选香港回归江苏省
1998年继续埋图书馆研究中国花鸟画史，并去北京、江苏、上海、江西等地的博物馆中考察、研究历代花鸟画作品。考入全国高校教师攻读硕士学位研究生班，脱产学习一年。
1999年研究、写作花鸟画史。同时主编由教育部体育卫生与艺术教育司审定的《中国画教学大图典工笔花鸟卷》，由江西教育出版社出版。《清荷图》入选《99澳门回归中国名家书画集》。
2000年写出《中国画艺术专史花鸟卷》第一稿，60余万字。全国高校教师硕士学位研究生班结业。考取南京艺术学院美术学博士研究生。《清风双》入选江苏省花鸟画展。
2001年继续埋身图书馆、博物馆研究，写《中国画艺术专史花鸟卷》第二稿。获得加拿大移民身份。
2002年《论宫廷院体花鸟画四种形态》发表于《美术》第10期。《“黄徐体异”探徽》发表于台湾《故宫文物月刊》第6期。《谈西方画论的“模仿自然”观念》发表于南京艺术学院学报《美术与设计》第1期。《论陶瓷绘画的唐代长沙窑花鸟画》发表于《陶瓷学报》第4期。5月写出《中国画艺术专史花鸟卷》48万字的修改二稿。《清气清秋》入选南京艺术学院校庆展。
2003年1月吉林美术出版社出版《黄筌画派》、《徐熙画派》。5月完成10余万字的博士论文《继往开来——明代院体花鸟画研究》并通过答辩，获得博士学位。7月完成《中国画艺术专史8226;花鸟卷》40余万字的修改三稿，交王伯敏教授、周积寅教授及编委会审稿。8月《花鸟画研究报》“当代花鸟画家”栏目作专版介绍。11月完稿37万字的《中国陶瓷绘画艺术史》专著并由东南大学出版社作为重点学术专著出版。《论北方陶瓷绘画的磁州窑词绘》、《论新石器时代的陶瓷绘画》发表于《陶瓷学报》。12月《荷塘清趣》为江苏省文化厅收藏，入选江苏省文化厅名人艺术档案库建立的〈江苏当代名家画库〉。
2004年1月任江苏省花鸟画研究会理事。2月论文《唐代长沙窑陶瓷绘画探徽》发表于《故宫文物月刊》。3月任江苏省花鸟画研究会工笔花鸟研究组组长。7月《现代书画家报》以《孔六庆工笔花鸟作品选》作专版介绍
