叶矩吾，1923年2月出生。别名叶式方，四川省成都市人，1957年江苏省国画院成立，即在国画院供职，专业从事国画创作直到现在。现为国家一级美术师、中国美术家协会会员。其出身于艺术出家，对古代画家石涛、恽寿平、华岩、虚谷之绘画深有研究，擅长于花鸟画，传统功底很深，同时深入生活，悟其本质，体现时代之精神，形成自已的风格。并善诗词和书法。其作品曾多次在国内外展出、发表和收藏。1982年6月在南京举办个人画展，1992年3月在新加坡举办个人画展，出版画集，均获好评。《中国艺术界名人作品展示会》参展作品“白梅鸳鸯”获优赏奖。其尤善画孔雀，贯注了自已的感情和对时代精神的感受。作品极尽华丽高雅，风神奕奕，万意吉祥。其作品“孔雀”己选载入《世界美术集》。传略入录《中国当代艺术界名人录》。主要作品有《水面花生遍太湖》、《飞翔的孔雀》、《墨荷》等，在近期拍卖中估价多为18000~250000元，2010年卖会上23500元拍出。
