吴宝贵，男，河南省荥阳市人，汉族，1967年10月出生，毕业于解放军艺术学院美术系。现为中国美术家协会会员、郑州市美术家协会常务理事、荥阳市美术家协会主席、荥阳市政协委员、荥阳市科技拔尖人才，现任荥阳市文联副主席。1983年入伍，9次参加全军举办的美术创作班，主攻国画和版画，主要从事“人物画、山水画、连环画”的创作。注重传统与创新，追求笔墨浑厚、凝重和体量感，强调画面张力和视觉扩充。画风雄浑、壮阔、深遂、气势恢宏。诸多作品在全国和全军举办的重要美术展览中入选、获奖。连环画《三十六计》、《镜花缘》、《戚继光》、《旬子》等十多套连环画被北京外文出版社和台湾光复书局出版发行到海内外。大量作品流传海内外，被权威博物馆收藏。其艺术成就被多部名人辞典收录。是近年来颇受关注的实力型青年画家。
1986年《高原霞光》，参加了在陕西省美术馆举办的陕西省首届版画展，获得了优秀奖；
1987年《戈壁的风》，参加了在北京军事博物馆举办的建军60周年美术展，其作品入选了全军优秀美术选集；
