曹建宁，1956年生，少年时代跟随工笔花鸟画家喻继高先生学画。82年毕业于南京艺术学院工笔花鸟画专业，现任该院教授﹑硕士生导师。中国美术家协会会员、中国工艺美术家协会会员﹑江苏省花鸟画协会会员。90年代作品在北京荣宝斋销售被国外友人广为收藏。花鸟画作品多次在国内外展出。第九届全国美展作品《锦绣中华》、第十一届全国美展作品《锦上添花》作品入围。
兼任中国服装设计师协会理事、学术委员会委员，中国纺织服装教育协会理事。发表论文二十余篇，其中包括全国性奖项数篇。服装设计作品，多次在全国性服装设计大赛中获奖。
