高天祥，浙江台州三门人，现任曲阜师范大学美术学院教授。1956年考入山东师范学院艺术系，得于希宁、张鹤云诸先生亲授，重视基本功的锤炼，打下扎实的基础。继承浙派画家吴昌硕、任伯年、潘天寿诸家技法，自成面目。多年来研习人物、花鸟以及书法，以画牡丹、紫藤、梅花、竹子见长，师法造化，境由心造，设色新颖，用笔规矩中求奔放，洒脱中见苍莽，秀中见拙，起伏多变。其作品多次在国内外展出和出版，在日本两次举行个人画展，深得好评。出版有《高天祥画集》《写意花鸟技法》，入编十几本辞书。系中国美术家协会会员、山东省文史研究馆馆员。中央文史馆书画院研究员。中国书画名人研究会副会长。
